Miami: Matheus, part 1

This shoot was so long ago, but Matheus remains one of my all-time favorites. This was our second shoot and not even the best shots at all, but I recently came across these and wanted to re-edit them and share. I'll share more for sure 🤩

Matheus and I met through one of the modeling agencies I was working with at the time. I was mostly shooting their new models, but was also doing portfolio shoots for existing ones who needed updated images and such. The agency arranged our first shoot, which was about a month before this one.

I was still fresh in my gas mask exploration phase at this point and was still using the same mask I had bought in China and used there for shoots. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with Matheus and the mask, so we just took some honestly, kind of dull shots until I realized it wasn't working. The weather was shit, which in retrospect could have been cool for some dramatic shots, but this was the end of our shoot and we were both kind of burnt out. Also, in retrospect it doesn't seem right to put a mask over such a handsome face. Right?
