"If you're referring to Spirit Vision ability, then I am indeed the same as my grandfather."
With these words, Gavin's circle of old friends, including Marchbanks, suddenly understood. No wonder Gavin had abruptly changed his mind several years ago and begun supporting Sean to become the Bulstrode family heir. At that time, Sean hadn't yet achieved his current level of accomplishment. Back then, Sean was merely a well-performing student at Hogwarts, albeit one who seemed rather restless.
Later, when Sean achieved such remarkable results, Marchbanks and the others all believed Gavin possessed keen insight. But now it became clear that Gavin's reason for changing his mind and supporting Sean to manage the Bulstrode family was fundamentally because he discovered Sean possessed the same Spirit Vision ability as himself, an inherited power of the Bulstrode family.
As for Sean's talent, his character, and his achievements, those were secondary considerations.
Learning that Sean possessed the same ability, Marchbanks and the others took Sean's earlier words seriously. They exchanged glances, each arriving at their own calculations.
The guests departed one by one.
The Ministry had not sent anyone to the funeral, which Sean found unsurprising. It would have been strange if Fudge had sent anyone.
Marchbanks and the others, along with Order members and Harry's group, all left in succession. Sean would visit each to express his gratitude after today. For now, his primary task was bringing his parents and grandmother back home, where they could rest comfortably without fear of Death Eater or other attacks.
Aldrich accompanied Sean in escorting Yadel, Martha, Caesar, and Elaine back home. After settling them down and confirming their emotions were relatively stable, Sean and Aldrich left together, returning to Gavin's gravesite.
"Aldrich, please stand watch outside the graveyard."
Though Aldrich didn't know what Sean intended to do, he obeyed the order without hesitation, turning to take position outside the graveyard.
Seeing Aldrich leave, Sean looked at Gavin's grave before him. He drew his wand directly and cast several spells around the gravesite, completely isolating it. Only then did he point his wand gently at the grave ahead. The soil at the gravesite gradually began to churn and bubble, slowly parting and pushing aside to both sides, revealing the coffin beneath.
Sean retrieved his pure white pocket watch and checked the time, waiting quietly at the graveside.
During the burial farewell ceremony earlier, Sean had placed a wand and the Resurrection Stone together inside Gavin's coffin. He had already activated the Resurrection Stone. After a period of time, it would trigger the resurrection function, awakening Gavin. One had to admit, they should thank Voldemort. His habitual use of the Killing Curse when murdering meant Gavin's body suffered no significant damage, meeting the Resurrection Stone's requirements for revival.
Sean pointed his wand at a nearby tree, transforming it into a chair. He sat down, gazing at the bright full moon in the sky. The two abilities Sean had acquired from Fenrir, Child of Night and Moonnight's Blessing, both functioned best at night. However, to achieve maximum effect, they required a full moon night.
Moonnight's Blessing was weakest when the moon was obscured and strongest during full moon nights. Child of Night, on the other hand, was a powerful enhancement that could only be used on full moon nights. Recently, Sean's battles hadn't coincided with a full moon, making these two abilities essentially unused. But that didn't mean they lacked utility. Once he returned to Hogwarts and underwent two more Magic Awakenings, he could surprise Voldemort on a full moon night.
While thinking this, Sean's keen hearing caught faint rustling sounds from within the coffin. He immediately straightened up, looking toward the coffin. Not long after, the coffin suddenly collapsed like a sandcastle, turning into countless grains of sand. The next second, a series of coughing sounds erupted as the pale-faced Gavin emerged from the grave, one hand gripping his wand, the other clutching the Resurrection Stone.
Seeing Gavin stand before him again, Sean pointed his wand at his ear and tapped it. His already keen hearing was magically enhanced further, immediately allowing Sean to hear the breathing in Gavin's chest and the powerful heartbeat. At this moment, Sean finally confirmed Gavin was truly resurrected.
"Though I always knew this would happen, actually experiencing it feels far less pleasant than I expected."
Walking to Gavin's side, Sean looked at his pale-faced grandfather, then suddenly embraced him. The gesture left Gavin somewhat uncertain how to respond.
"This truly is a greater surprise than my own resurrection."
With light laughter, Gavin returned the embrace, saying quietly, "Sean, I truly thank you."
"We're family. No need for thanks."
"Ha, I think I said that to you before."
"Probably." Sean released Gavin and drew his wand to examine his condition. Gradually, his frown deepened. "There's a problem."
Gavin blinked, looking toward Sean. "What problem?"
"Though you've been resurrected, your body still contains an astonishingly large amount of death essence and negative energy. If left untreated, over time, you could become chronically ill. There's even a possibility your body could develop toward a deathless corpse state."
Listening to Sean's words, Gavin frowned before his expression cleared. He smiled at Sean and asked, "So the Alchemy array from your participation in the Triwizard Tournament can help me?"
Sean nodded affirmatively. "Yes, though it's insufficient. Life Alchemy, in its current form, can only gradually consume the death essence in your body, not completely expel it. It can only stabilize your condition. To completely remove this death essence, I would need to research Life Alchemy more deeply.
So I've thought of a solution. Perhaps you could disguise yourself and take a teaching position at Hogwarts. This way, you could receive Life Alchemy treatment at any time, and hiding at Hogwarts would prevent easy discovery. It's an excellent way to conceal yourself."
"Teaching at Hogwarts? That's not a bad idea. But what could I teach?"
"Defense Against the Dark Arts?"
Gavin's face was full of question marks. Are you sure you don't want me to die again?
