So he knows everything. Including the kids jail sentence and why. He's faking to get revenge on the boss for throwing the kid in jail. He doesn't want to involve the kid, the reason he went to jail was because of him. The guy in the car next to him was from history 4. That text was a ballsy move. The kid is waiting for him, the bakery is proof he's still in love.
