HP: The Duelist of Hogwarts - 388

Chapter 388: Three LV5MAX

Inside the jewelry box was a bronze ring inset with a tiny blue crystal. Looking closely, the bronze ring bore intricate cloud patterns, while within the tiny blue crystal, one could faintly see a raven in flight with outstretched wings.

[Raven's Claw: Magical artifact, crafted by Rowena Ravenclaw. Transfiguration level +1.]

A very concise description with an extremely powerful effect.

Without Sean's previous conversation with Ravenclaw about the Diadem and Helena Ravenclaw, Ravenclaw would never have given this item to Sean. This could be considered Sean's good deed being rewarded.

As for the Transfiguration level, Sean's current Transfiguration was at Level 3. When Sean placed Raven's Claw on his right middle finger, his panel's Transfiguration level changed to Level 4. His sensation was quite marvelous, a feeling of half-understanding, yet he clearly knew he could do it.

He didn't know why he could use Level 4 Transfiguration, nor did he understand the principles behind this Level 4 Transfiguration. But he knew he could do it. If Malfoy were here right now, he could immediately transform Malfoy into a white ferret, making up for his childhood regret.

Additionally, Sean was very interested in whether Raven's Claw would elevate Transfiguration to an even higher level if his Transfiguration reached LV5MAX.

Sean left Ravenclaw's ancestral home and Apparated away, returning to London.

Before going home, Sean came to a hidden apartment and looked at the accumulated letters inside. The vast majority were from the editorial department of The Philosopher's Stone journal, mainly discussing Life Alchemy with Sean.

Sean's continuation of the Life Alchemy thesis caused quite a sensation upon publication. Especially when people discovered that Sean was that Hogwarts student who published numerous papers in The Golden Cauldron and papers in Animagus, the Triwizard Tournament champion, and Hogwarts champion, the sensation increased geometrically.

Most of these letters were written to get acquainted with Sean. Of course, some were discussing and inquiring about Life Alchemy. Sean briefly reviewed them and replied to those worth responding to. Among these letters, one caught Sean's attention. It was asking about Sean's relationship with Antonius!

Sean didn't immediately reply to this letter, nor did he discard it. He kept it, planning to show it to Antonius after returning to Hogwarts and ask for his advice.

Sean drew his wand to tidy things up and gave the replies to the apartment's owl, having it send the letters directly to The Philosopher's Stone editorial department for forwarding.

Preparations complete, Sean left the house. However, when he walked out of the apartment, his keen werewolf senses made Sean feel someone hiding nearby, apparently using a Disillusionment Charm.

Death Eaters? Or... the Ministry?

Acting nonchalantly, Sean left the apartment, turned a corner, came to the elevator area, and cast a Disillusionment Charm directly, without using his wand or incantation!

After emerging from Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror, Sean's Sectumsempra, Disillusionment Charm, and Fulgur Flagellum had all reached LV5MAX. Moreover, the Disillusionment Charm had gained nonverbal and wandless casting techniques through the combat experience in Ravenclaw's mirror.

Now, if Sean could undergo another Magic Awakening, defeating him like before wouldn't be easy for Voldemort anymore.

LV5MAX level Disillusionment Charm could completely conceal both form and sound. Unless one mastered at least Level 5 or higher-level spells for detecting concealment magic, it was impossible to break the LV5MAX Disillusionment Charm.

Under the Disillusionment Charm, Sean waved his wand lightly, scattering powder on the floor. Soon, he saw a pair of footprints appear in the powder on the ground. Seeing the footprints, Sean didn't hesitate. He waved his wand directly, shooting out a Disarming Charm that knocked a black-robed Auror out of his Disillusionment state, sending him flying. The wand fell at Sean's feet while the Auror hit the wall.

Without giving the other party a chance to speak, Sean stepped forward and cast Legilimency directly.

"Legilimens!"

Scene after scene appeared in Sean's mind. Excluding the useless ones, Sean found the person's recent memories.

This person was indeed a Ministry Auror. However, contrary to Sean's guess that he belonged to Fudge, this Auror was actually under Scrimgeour. Scrimgeour had sent him to track Sean to find out whether Sean truly saw Voldemort.

Previously, Scrimgeour, as Head of the Auror Office, had consistently claimed he saw Voldemort but was repeatedly refuted by Fudge. Later, gradually, Scrimgeour quieted down and stopped publicly proclaiming anything. Everyone thought Scrimgeour discovered he was wrong, which was why he quieted down.

Now it seemed Scrimgeour had never given up but had switched to covert investigation.

Publicly, only the three champions and Dumbledore claimed to have seen Voldemort. But after the third round, Fleur, the Beauxbatons champion, and Krum, the Durmstrang champion, were both taken back to their respective schools by their headmasters immediately after the competition ended, preventing Scrimgeour from investigating them.

As for Dumbledore, he was even more elusive. Scrimgeour couldn't even catch a corner of his robes. So through this back-and-forth, Scrimgeour could only investigate through Sean.

Scrimgeour's subordinate was able to find Sean because Scrimgeour had connections in the editorial department of The Philosopher's Stone. Through that contact, he learned Sean's mailing address and arranged for someone to wait there and intercept him.

Unfortunately, Scrimgeour miscalculated Sean's strength. The Auror he sent was completely outmatched, whether in magical ability, cunning, or experience.

After viewing the person's memories, Sean used the Memory Charm to erase them. His LV5MAX Memory Charm already allowed him to selectively and precisely erase and slightly alter the target's memories. Lockhart had received the same treatment. Sean erased all memories about himself and anything related to the Ravenclaw ruins and the Memory Charm itself.

This Auror was no exception. When he woke up, he only remembered losing his target and accidentally falling unconscious. Everything else was gone.
