Sean didn't know how Lockhart had gotten through this, but perhaps his weakness had something to do with dueling Ravenclaw here. Being hit repeatedly by Ravenclaw's Obliviate Charm caused Lockhart to forget most of his spellcasting methods. That possibility wasn't completely implausible.
Of course, compared to Lockhart, Sean's enhancement process was much bloodier. He remained constantly between being dismembered alive and about to be dismembered alive. Sean felt that even his own Head of House, the inventor of this curse, might not wield it as ferociously as Ravenclaw did.
With a single wave of her wand, Sean would be chopped into mincemeat. This curse had gone far beyond the original Sectumsempra. The precision and power were absolutely terrifying.
After being killed who-knows-how-many times, Sean recovered again and continued competing with Ravenclaw in spellcasting.
But this time, Ravenclaw didn't immediately wave her wand. Instead, she looked at Sean with some surprise. "Your mental energy and soul strength are remarkably impressive. You've been killed forty-three times already, yet you're still in high spirits. It seems your mental energy should be sufficient to support upgrading two to three more spells. Next, you can choose two more spells to use alongside Sectumsempra. Upgrading three spells at once. I believe your mental strength should be able to support it."
In that case... Sean pondered briefly and quickly selected the magic he wanted to use, nodding to Ravenclaw. "Then I'll trouble you."
As his words fell, Sean instantly vanished from the spot. Immediately, massive amounts of lightning burst forth from behind Ravenclaw, roaring as they struck her body!
That's right. The two new spells Sean chose were the Disillusionment Charm and Fulgur Flagellum!
Setting aside Fulgur Flagellum for now, Sean had further ideas for it. The Disillusionment Charm was specifically chosen by Sean to complement Sectumsempra! When both the Disillusionment Charm and Sectumsempra reached top level, if Sean then trained in nonverbal spellcasting techniques, he would become the most terrifying assassin. Taking lives without a sound.
Time passed. Who knew how long? When Sean raised his wand again, he discovered that Ravenclaw had actually put down her wand. Holding a book, she slowly sat on the blue sofa that had been restored countless times.
Looking at Ravenclaw, Sean was momentarily stunned. "Excuse me, are you preparing to rest?"
"Not resting. There's simply no need to continue. You've achieved your purpose."
Achieved? Sean came to his senses. He suddenly realized he'd come here to upgrade his spell levels. If Ravenclaw said he'd achieved his purpose, that meant his spells had reached the level he wanted. But...
"Lady Ravenclaw, I haven't defeated you yet."
"I never said you could only complete your magical training by defeating me, did I?"
"But..."
Before Sean could finish, he suddenly heard a series of cracking sounds. Whipping his head around, he saw that in one corner of the room, space had cracked like glass, covered in numerous fissures. Visibly, these cracks were continuously expanding.
"Hurry and leave. This magical artifact has also reached its limit. If you don't leave now, you'll have to stay here with me forever."
Hearing this, Sean understood. By consecutively upgrading three spells, it seemed he'd completely exhausted Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror's remaining power. Without magical energy, this mirror that had existed for countless years had no choice but to fade into obscurity.
"Lady Ravenclaw, is there anything I can help with?"
"You want to repay me?"
"I just feel that as a Hogwarts student, upon meeting one of Hogwarts' founders, I shouldn't immediately leave after obtaining what I wanted."
Ravenclaw laughed. One could see she was genuinely happy.
"What house are you in?"
"Slytherin."
"Hm? Slytherin? It seems that no matter what, everything is constantly changing..." Ravenclaw seemed to think of something, shaking her head with a smile, continuing, "How is Hogwarts recently?"
"Quite good. We just held the Triwizard Tournament, and Hogwarts won the championship."
"Who is the current Headmaster? What's he like?"
"The current Headmaster is named Albus Dumbledore. He's a very great wizard. In today's global magical community, he's also a top-tier wizard."
"How is Ravenclaw House?"
"Everyone is diligent and studious, very eager for knowledge."
"Good, I understand. Thank you for telling me these things."
Seeing the cracks had spread to nearly half the room, Sean knew he should leave.
Just as he was preparing to depart, Sean suddenly thought of Ravenclaw's Diadem and immediately told Ravenclaw, "Lady Ravenclaw, I found your diadem, though it's already been damaged."
"The diadem..."
One could see that Ravenclaw was very surprised. She looked at Sean, her expression becoming gentle. "Is that so? That's truly wonderful..."
"Lady Ravenclaw, your daughter Helena has become Ravenclaw's ghost at Hogwarts. Should I give the diadem to her?"
"Helena... a ghost..."
Clearly, even Ravenclaw had difficulty quickly processing that her daughter had become a ghost. After all, becoming a ghost required extremely strong unfulfilled wishes. For a deceased person, this wasn't actually a good thing.
"Give it to her. Please tell her I've never blamed her."
"Alright, then I'll be leaving."
"The middle bookshelf, middle layer, center position. Take it with you."
Stunned, Sean was about to ask something when he saw Ravenclaw point her hand at him. Sean felt as if he'd been pulled from water, rapidly leaving that mirror space. Even as he departed, Sean saw the mirror space collapsing and Ravenclaw's gratified smile.
Bang!
Crash...
The sound of shattering glass startled Sean awake. Raising his head to look at Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror, now completely shattered before him, even its frame decayed, Sean sighed softly, then turned to the middle bookshelf. Following Ravenclaw's instructions, he examined the center of the middle layer.
When Sean reached out to touch it, a simple raven rune suddenly appeared on the back of his right hand. This rune flashed briefly before dissipating, and at the bookshelf's center, a jewelry box slowly materialized before Sean.
