Chapter 210

◈ Chapter 210:

Rain stood frozen at the door, watching as Lyra's head bobbed up from between Opal's thighs, her essence dribbling down her chin.

He had some vague awareness that Lyra had gained an interest in breast play with the goblin girl recently, for some sudden inexplicable reason, but he hadn't known it had gone this far.

This was… well, honestly a little arousing. Wait, was he turning into Red? Not good.

He was about to push through into the room when Lyra finally noticed that the door was ajar. Her eyes went round like saucers and her hand darted up to frantically wipe away the wet from her mouth and chin. She mostly succeeded in just smearing it further across her face.

"Ah- H-hey! Rain what are you doing here, uh, at this particular moment in time?!"

Rain looked her over, noting her clothes discarded across the duvet, and then the table across the room, where they had clearly finished eating before jumping into bed together. He narrowed his eyes.

"I— We weren't doing anything! Tell him Opal!"

Rain took a step toward the bed, closing the door behind with a firm click.

"Dunno what you mean sheepy, you seemed pretty happy to- plfurgh" Opal's idle reply was cut off as a hand was thrust over her mouth.

"She's joking of course haha! We were just, uh, relaxing after eating, and, uh, it was warm, because the food was spicy, so we had to take off all our clothes! Haha!"

Rain took another step, which at his size meant he crossed the room and loomed over Lyra, the sheep girl looking up at him with a nervous expression, a little dribble of opal rolling down her chin.

Rain began to lean forward.

"W-wait, h-hold on, don't you dare! NUUUU!"

Cried Lyra as Rain flopped onto the bed.

She and Opal barely had time to scramble back making space for him as he twisted and fell.

He slammed down with a boom, the enormous bed letting out a long shuddering groan under the strain, but miraculously holding together.

The girls were less fortunate and with a scream Lyra was catapulted flailing up into the air on one side just as a giggling Opal was launched skyward on the other.

Two arms lashed out and caught them in mid air, pulling them down and into Rain's embrace, both atop the oversized towels he was wrapped in.

Rain was pleased the bed hadn't been flattened under his weight. He was worried for a moment.

He hugged them close, wrapping their nakedness in his towels as he shifted fully onto the bed. It was a very very large bed and it was a genuinely novel experience to lie on such a thing without his legs dangling off the end, or the thing collapsing under his weight.

As he got comfortable, Opal's head poked out from the bundle of towels, and she blinked a few times as her black hair cascaded around her face.

"Smells nice," she mumbled.

Lyra pulled her head free next to her and looked around, realising that she was lying atop Rain with Opal. She let out a small sigh, and then snuggled back into the towels until just her face was visible.

She looked up at Rain from there, a snug girl bundled up, the fluffy towels like a cocoon.

"You look ridiculous," said Rain.

"Your fault," muttered Lyra, as she snuggled deeper.

She paused in her snuggling and glanced up at his chest.

"How is… you know?" she said, her voice quiet.

Rain glanced down. The soreness in his lungs had lessened, which he assumed meant he was healing, just… slowly. Each breath was uncomfortable, no matter how shallow the breath, but still better than it had been.

"I screwed up, when trying to escape. Everything else I tried failed so I thought there was no other choice, and the feeling of being trapped was so strong, so intense, but maybe I should have tried to hang on, tried to think of something, anything, else."

"I watched all of it," she said hesitantly. "But I don't really know what you did, there was dark smoke pouring from you, and you looked like you were in so much pain."

Rain groaned internally. He had hoped that the sheep girl hadn't been paying attention, but it seemed she had seen everything. Another suspicious ability, and one if she saw directly, she might easily guess at its nature.

"It was an effect of my predation, I used it on the smoke Quistis held within me, that was what you saw."

Lyra seemed to consider this, but then the thought was already passing, it was perfectly believable after all, the dark was a strange and intimidating ability.

"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised your chest is giving you problems, I literally almost killed you, when you ran out of air in my woolspace, so it seems to be something not even being a giant super freaking strong monster can protect against."

Rain made a rumbling sound of agreement.

"There was no choice," mumbled Opal from her towel cocoon, her eyes closed, "Not against that one."

Lyra hesitantly nodded. "Quistis is one scary leveler, one of the scariest I've seen, and I've seen waaay too many lately. This whole thing, this whole plan, is like having a mad dog on a leash."

"A brain damaged mad dog," rumbled Rain, "One of the rooms in this building she created is sideways, it's just a pit below the door. Is that really okay?"

Opal, still with her eyes still closed, replied, "S'good enough. A few upside down or sideways rooms, or bottomless pits, or furniture made out of random stuff, is still way better than any life in the dungeon. She can provide everything, it's perfect."

"And food?" said Lyra. "I know you grabbed that stuff from the supplies when I emptied my woolspace into the vault, but that's not going to last forever."

"You emptied your wool?" said Rain, feeling a little alarmed.

"Yes, it mostly just poured out on its own because you put way too much inside it. The creepy sphere thing is still inside of course. But forget that, what are you going to do for food Opal? Seriously? You can't possibly want every monster here to eat fake food."

"I already asked snakey, obviously," said Opal, cracking an eye, "Do you really believe I wouldn't ask when there was a chance she could make infinite food to make Rain way bigger?"

Rain believed that very easily actually.

"She said that the more detailed something is the more difficult, time consuming, or even just impossible, it becomes to make, so she mostly makes proxies that only looks like the thing on the outside if she has to, especially with stuff like meat, which can just be a block of stone. So, no, she can't make lots of food. She also said that eating her stuff changes it back very quickly, so if you eat something she makes you end up with just a pile of dirt in your stomach. So it's not good for my monster town either."

"So, what are you going to do? At some point everyone will get hungry…" said Rain.

"Oh, that's why I put the town under Warwick's. It can all come from there. Lots of food, and a monster town, with you, it's perfect."

Rain stared. There was a real possibility Warwick was going to commit violence if they turned up on his doorstep and asked him to feed a hundred or so evolved monsters, at the very least the grumpy veteran would want nothing to do with this hair brained scheme.

And for that matter, nor did Rain. He was supposed to be a hunter! Stalking his prey and other… predatory things like that. He was supposed to be recovering his very self from those who had murdered him, trying to prevent further slipping into a feral state, fending off the mindless wolf in him.

Not being the propped up figurehead of a town doomed to fail, pushed into something he didn't want. It was— un-predatory!

Against his nature.

And as much as Quistis was under control now, he doubted it would last, something would happen, either her death or escape, and then the town would just turn into a pile of dirt in a big and empty pitch black cave. Not to mention the monsters themselves, who seemed more likely to kill each other than cooperate, as much as Opal naively hoped they could change.

He looked down at her. She looked back up at him. Her fingers clutched at the fluffy towels, a loose strand of hair across her face, eyes sparkling like sunshine on water, almost… hopeful.

A vague thought wandered across his mind, like a moth fluttering toward a candle flame, slowly putting things together. Opal had… changed?

If there was a word for it, that he had to choose, it would be… optimistic? She practically radiated hope at him, innocent, goddam, hope.

She seemed to register his dismayed expression, and her expression sunk a bit.

"So, I noticed that you maybe don't want to be, 'the boss' so much, but uhm, you could help? And then… we could live here?" She picked at the fluffy towel and bit her lip.

Rain didn't particularly want to live here either, that was not— that was not what a killer did.

His instincts rebelled at the idea.

But that look she was giving him, he couldn't functionally say 'fuck no' to that, it was too cute!

Fuck fuck fuck.

Delay delay delay.

"I'll think about it after trying for Brax with Quistis. Something may go wrong so… There's no point right now, if Quistis were to die for example…" he managed to croak out.

After a moment's thought, Opal seemed to accept this.

"Hmm. Okay." she said, "But in return, I want you to use that thing you do, on me."

Rain frowned, his mind struggling to catch up.

"You mean what you asked me to do with the other monsters, you want that too?"

"Mhmm! I want to know if I'm the same, and anyway, you said it's your remembered feeling, so I have to know what that's like. How could I not?"

"Are you sure?"

Rain had worried this was coming, Opal was naturally inquisitive, so of course she wanted to  know just what it was that had caused so many monsters to have full blown emotional breakdowns.

Opal hesitated, but then straightened her back and looked up into his eyes, determination filling her like an amphora overflowing.

"Yes. Do me Rain. Make me feel things."

"Aheh, I don't think you need to put it quite that way, Opal." said Lyra, from her towel cocoon.

Rain wondered if this was really a good idea, Opal was a dungeon monster after all…

He hesitated.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, and if it took her mind off other certain things too?

Unleashing the Skill only took a little, just a thought, and then the room was slowly darkening, a comfortable dark.

Rain didn't wait for it to go any further, he grabbed hold of Lyra and Opal and moved them into his lap as he sat up and crossed his legs, the towels falling from around them.

They were both still naked of course and their legs wrapped around each other, fronts pressing together, Opal's very heavy pregnancy, her belly button popped out from the taut dome of her belly, breasts resting heavily on top. And then Lyra's slight pregnancy, an elegant curve that swooped down from under her enormous breasts to her mons. Opal's breasts had become larger, swollen with milk, but Lyra's were larger still, and they pressed against Opal's in a distracting way.

They were taken by surprise, awkward with the closeness for a moment, but then at the same time, they seemingly realised that they didn't mind, and relaxed into each other.

Rain wrapped his arms around them protectively. His girls. His. A fierce possessiveness rose within him as he embraced them, as if hoping he could somehow protect them from what he was worried would be a very difficult experience.

The raindrops, the fireplace heat, and above all, the feeling of safety came, swooping down on them like a dark bird of prey, intense feeling from Rain's past distilled and refined into a purer form, and then pushed upon them.

Lyra let out a soft sigh as the tenseness left her body, sagging against Rain as a feeling of bliss rolled over her.

"Oh Rain, you should have told me it felt like this and I would have asked for it myself," she murmured, snuggling deeper in the fluffy towels. She sounded, well, incredibly content and pleased, and she snuggled up against him, burying her face in his broad arm, a smile on her face.

Rain blinked. That was… not the reaction he had expected, and he frowned in thought.

The Skill worked to devastating effect on dungeon monsters simply because it was such an utterly alien feeling to them. It had little effect on Ravoure who just seemed pampered. And here, it seemed to please Lyra even more, she was practically revelling in it!

That was… actually that made a lot of sense, he considered. The sheep girl was a generally nervous and fearful person, a feeling of absolute safety would be like catnip to her. Safety was a feeling that she was deficient in, unlike Ravoure.

His estimation of the skill rose, making Lyra feel safe was quite a nice benefit.

He almost considered it a success when a small gasp came from Opal.

He looked down between his arms to see the smol goblin girl with her hands clutching at him, her face buried in his fur. She rocked her head revealing her wetted cheeks.

Tears.

A pang struck him. This had clearly been a mistake.

He gently brought his paw down, digits wrapping around and turning her head.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm- I'm fine."

"But are you?"

She sniffed wetly, but then nodded her head.

"I'm fine, and… it's because of you. The others, I get it, they were crushed flat by this. It's like a big pit opening up beneath you unexpectedly, a type of emotion you didn't know existed at all suddenly existing, but… I'm not like that." she brushed her hands over her eyes and smiled. "I felt a bit of this the very first night we were together, when I crawled into your tent in the dungeon, and I lay against you as you slept, and then it just became more and more. Having a big monster protecting you, feels… good, really really good, you made me feel safe, so this intensity isn't so bad."

He wrapped his arm back around her and drew her in, squeezing her against his chest, just her eyes visible as she looked up at him from his fluff. And then Lyra too, pulled in tight, the sheep girl's head next to Opal's, looking up at him, the both of them so trusting.

He didn't need the Skill for that moment to feel good, it felt wonderful all on its own, curled around his girls, feeling their breath tugging at his fur, their naked bodies pressing against him, the beat of their hearts. His completely unconditional love for them flowed freely.

He held them like that for a time, the three of them enjoying each other's company in silence.

It was only when Opal began to wiggle that Rain came back to himself, lost on a floaty feeling.

A small hand was descending down his front, an exploratory and curious hand, one that touched down on his huge sheath and began to fondle.

He cracked an eye and looked down to see Opal avoiding his gaze.

The hands motions continued, pressing down, and then fingers pushing inside. Hot wet flesh within was touched, and she flinched back, but only for a moment, her fingers pushed again and Rain felt her fingers caressing the hidden tip. His sheath started to swell as the mass within started to fill out, responding to her touch.

Not difficult to get a response considering what he had caught them doing, his blood was already up.

His sheath expanded and pressed up against Lyra, disturbing the sheep girl.

"Mm, wh-what is that?" she mumbled, stirring from what had been a short nap. She frowned and tried to look down, but not seeing anything due to being pressed close she reached a hand down.

Her fingers pressed against something large, and her brow rose.

"H-Hey! Rain!"

"It's not me," muttered Rain.

Which Lyra quickly found out as her hand touched against a smaller hand, currently pushed fully inside the growing sheath.

"Dammit Opal, wasn't my tongue enough? Do you really need more?!"

Opal gave her a steady look.

"Yes."

She suddenly pulled her hand free from Rain's sheath with a wet slick sound, and lifted her hand up. It was covered in precum, a thick layer that strung between her fingers.

She lapped at it, taking the substance into her mouth.

"And so does he."

Making tea and not offering some to our boy? How rude. Surely he needs some refreshment too?
