Karno: I was reading Greedy Little Men (to refresh my memory about Billy Wholesale). In page 21, Jan is talking to her dying mother about who Jan's father might be, having decided it could not have been Max. It seems to me Jan may be a bit hasty about eliminating Max - he could have faked being overseas numerous ways. But now Jan has a couple of ways to directly test that idea: 1) Directly approach Max as Jan Snowe - she is rich and should be well known in the tech circles; Max should recognize her. 2) As Jack, ask Laura to ask Max if he would consent to a paternity test. 3) As Jack, ask Laura if should could "acquire" some "material" for a clandestine test. 4) Ask Laura if there is a magical way to perform such a test. Also, I believe that Jan is almost unique among your characters in that we've never seen her having sex. Is she simply non-sexual, or have we simply not seen that side of her?

2025-09-03 13:00:00 +0000 UTCDang, this bastitch knows how to plan a death trap for sho . . . even if he was focusing under the assumption that Jack was some big guy and not a suit of armor, the psycho designed it to ensure capture and kill . . . save for the unforeseeable detail that Jack would grab the door and the door's closing wouldn't destroy the rescuing hand.
