And 'maybe' she could set up dozens if not hundreds of stop gaps, multiple warp-doors set up at key points between the two main locations to still link them together for a lower overall energy cost. But that wouldn't be feasible from all the years of setup at each spot along the way. Doubt she'll go for a tech based solution, wouldn't surprise me if Max has teleporting of some kind but probably the same issue of to much power use to make it functional. So I'm guessing maybe an elevator or escalator system but with lots of illusions to make it invisible. Just to get stuff up there at least.
