BEDLAM, part 194.

Off she goes, and where we wind up, nobody knows!

BEDLAM, part 194.

Hmm. My point is that while Mink is very powerful and versatile, and has been in a few good fights, she is basically self taught with regular human level reflexes. Tank has years of military training and experience. Plus he he knows how durable he is at thr deep brain level and acts accordingly. So if Cut Up has some Jack the Ripper powers hidden away, I'd put money on Tank intercepting a power blade away from Mink's very human guts.

Might want to strap him down

badmunky64

That's why Tank is there and why they don't have any "tools" within several body lengths of the bench save what is on their persons

Tank: "Oh, I'm not here to protect Mink from YOU, I'm here to protect YOU from Mink. And to protect the rest of Bedlam as well."

If I was that guy, I'd ask to be strapped down to the table before begins, because there will be a gap between the muderous-psychosis-preventing-gadget coming out and her new treatment taking effect, and I wouldn't trust myself with that window.

They should strap him down for this

Anyone else notice that where ever Mink goes in Bedlam, Tank is always a few steps behind her? I think we are about to see a very good example as to why.

Truedragon5374

Better strap him down, the "Cut-Up" personality may not like the fact she's attempting to get rid of him and take over control of the body and fight back.

Catsnightmare

Oh no no restraints and they're about to take the off switch for the psychopath out I hope her magic's up to the task of keeping him still whilst she's trying to do brain surgery

And a follow-on thought: Karno, if that is indeed where you are going with this, you should make the demon's physical manifestation be that of a snake with a large frill on the head. Everybody, P90's off safe, Zat'nik'tels on standby.

Skunkupine

He was resigned to physical death, having it commuted to mere ego death is a major upgrade for him. Even if he has to live the rest of his life as a different person with the regrets of what "cut-up" did, he'll still be able to find peace that "cut-up" will never Hurd anyone again.

One interesting idea: as I understand it, in the series "Dexter" it is eventually revealed that Dexter's mental problem is in fact caused by a demon. That's also a theme in the "Lord Darcy" series of science-fantasy detective stories, as well as one other short story who's name escapes me at the moment. Wouldn't it be interesting if Cut-Up's problem isn't strictly medical, but turns out to be magical, and when Mink goes a-poking, a demon pokes back?
