All the Little Witches, part 167.

Like most men (or men at heart), Dr. Varkár likes a big, healthy girl.

Meanwhile, Mink has a big, twisty problem.

All the Little Witches, part 167.

I'm firmly in the 'read it' side because if one guy, though Berecki could certainly have had help, created a bunch of horrible magic spells there is no reason to assume that someone, or something, else couldn't also come up with them again later. Better to know what you may one day be up against and work out a countermeasure rather than end up getting zapped. But! If there is any threat of an external 'corruptible influence', rather than someone succumbing to temptation an actual direct change imparted on the reader somehow, wouldn't hurt to try and figure out a filter of some kind. One other little thought just because it amused me. The adorable cow clone gal who has some sort of 'perfect zen' mentality, sadly I've forgotten her name, and possibly Hundrat. I think it would be hilarious if either of them ended up reading something that 'should' have caused corruption but due to their unique mentalities it didn't even so much as graze their minds or souls. ^^ <3

Dr. Varkár looks a little askance with her new project. That won't prevent her from doing it, but regrets... The Mink's dilemma is understandable, but I can agree that destroying this important relic is vital to the world. It will help prevent Berecki or his ilk from regaining strength.

Got a volcano handy? Even if the book isn't destroyed, it would be inaccessible.

Provided Laura can resist the temptation of using those dark spells. I suspect that that is the source of her reluctance to reading that grimoire. She does not want to be 'seduced by the dark side' one might say.

If I were Berecki I'd figure the self-righteous goody-three-shoes Mage Scouts of the world would want to burn my book, so I'd weave a hidden spell throughout the pages that activate when touched by a flame and use the energy of the book being consumed to recreate _two_ copies of the book somewhere else in the world.

Paul Lenoue

Perfect. Now, this does assume the book IS destroyable... ;)

Major Matt Mason

Now that is good advice.

Skunkupine

Keep it for a little bit. Look through it, find all the vile magics and write down counterspells/undo's for all of them, and then burn the book so you have ways to counter all the nasty spells for anyone who might already know them but no record of how to learn them in the future.

Catsnightmare

If I were in her shoes, I'd probably just burn it. So much knowledge has already been acquired and there are signs that the book would find itself in the hands of his descendants. Best to not get too greedy.

The fact that she is pondering that moral quandary speaks well of her conscience and strength of spirit.
