Zeyn understands the burden that would be on Mikey's shoulders. The public scrutiny, the expectations of public service, and the weight of responsibility that, unlike him, he's had no time to prepare for. He's also afraid that if Mikey knows too early, that he might see him differently. I guess he also sees Mikey is vulnerable and doesn't want to hurt him.
