Big Enough, page 1.

We start with a comix page sent over the Internet to display on a computer screen, about a couple watching a movie that's set on a .....movie set? Reality's a twisty lil' thing.

 - And there's Picca again! You can't keep a good cat-girl down.

About the Karno Art Archive: It's been decided I'll use my own hereto neglected web-page for it, the existence of which I was recently reminded of. Just gotta hire a 'puter geek to get it set up for such archiving.....by a tail-dragging tech dinosaur such as myself. Wish me luck!

Oh, <i>Glory,</i> don't forget to remind folks that Picca is just <i>little,</i> <b>not</b> a 12-yea-old. After 30 years as a programmer/systems analyst, I have to agree with Karl and Skunkupine. Find a geek (hey, I ain't working) and remind them: <b>KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID!</b>

Beware the "webbish" person who wants to have everything be stored in a database, with a ton of Javascript on the client side and a ton of PHP on the server side, because "that's how you does webbish things webbishly!" - lots of moving parts to fail, lots of chances for the site to be overloaded. Simplify and add lightness - if the client HAS to run JS, it's a fail. Serve the images from the file system. Many indexes can be built off-line after an update, and served as files from the file system. Less CPU, less chance of 50* errors, easier to back up and to move.

Websites are EASY. Fancy modern ones with 'bells and whistles'... and logins and security and... and... and.... that's a different color critter alltogether.

Sounds like a fun setup for a story. Sundays are the days that keep on giving. Good luck with your website shenanigans.
