Got a question for my loyal Patrons. I was on a website called FurAffinity until I posted an editorial proclaiming that the Cancel Culture trolls that dig through people's old posts, hoping to find something they can use to gin up a lynch mob against 'em....were in fact trolls, and should be given the middle finger, rather than being kowtowed to.
Whereupon a troll went through all my old posts and found one featuring Picca (the female protagonist of the just-completed "Hard Lessons" story) and ran screaming to the moderators of the FA site, claiming she was a child, and I should be banned for kid pron. Which they were glad to do. *Sigh* Sometimes I hate being right.
How do you fight such back-channel cowards? Like I said in the "appeal":
"I posted the strip with Picca pleasuring herself, what, close on a decade ago? Nobody had a problem with it for all those years. So why is it suddenly a problem now? This is not a rhetorical question - I really would like to know what has changed, so I can avoid incidents like this in future.
People being banned because someone has gone through decades-old posts of theirs and decided the tits on a female character aren't big enough to suit 'em? How does one avoid that? I can't go back in time - the world would be very different if I could!"
I was on FA for over a decade, so it seems a shame to let all that work evaporate. So I was thinking of opening another Patreon, where I collect all the art I'd posted on Furaffinity. Call it "Karno's Furry Archive" or something similar. Post a picture a day, and in a few years, all my art that was only on FA (and worth preserving) would be archived on Patreon. I'd have to make the sexy stuff Patrons Only, but all the rest would be free for anyone to see.
What do you faithful fans think? Would you subscribe to something like that?

can't say much seeing my gallery was destroyed on fa cause I did 3d stuff which is not considered art even if they cheerfully took money from a 3d based social platform. Inkbunny is no good cause that's where a lot of the pedos went to. Any other furry site lacks the traffic FA generates and most are too lazy to follow outside links. At least they unbanned you my shits still gone and irreplaceable stuff but I don't do much porn so DA works ok for me and my Patreon is a small chill and kinda not overwhelming like it was back in the day when I was more active. This is the new norm deal with it..

Aside from the fact that their system seems to be written to <i>prevent</i> archive crawling (try it -- it's awful) there's the issue of Patreon's blue-nosed history. Haven't <b>YOU</b> been censured by them in the past? I would suggest you look into another site. You might even set up your own site. Check out the hosting outfit's rules, some might object to your material. I know, you don't have time to run a website with your schedule. I'm sure you know a geek or six who can do that. Guess I better get my @$$ in gear, then.

As for the old stuff, I've got most of it archived or purchased on hard copy for my library. I I've only got so much I can put aside for Patreon--that's why I can't support all my favorite like I'd want to--but as along as you keep getting the sets and comics published, I'll keep purchasing for my collection. Best way to deal with Trolls is just don't give a damn and don't give them anything to prod you with . . . but if you should ever meet one in real life . . . well . . . just don't leave any evidence or witnesses. "There are just too many people in this world to waste time suffering the existence of fools, bums, and parasites."

I love your comics and enjoy your artwork, erotic and otherwise. I would truly hate to see it disappear. Granted we both know that you ( like me and so many others) Will not last.. but when the time does come.. 2021-04-07 15:45:50 +0000 UTCFirst of all… what the ever living fuck? I had no idea you’d been banned from FA. Second of all… how stupid are these people? I remember Picca meeting Jim in Genus. Genus! Does this mean not one of FA’s staff was around in the 1990s? Third, and this probably should have been first… is there any way we can help? Will writing to FA’s admins (without flying off the handle) help, or make it worse? (Update: I see you’ve been reinstated. I always figured FA’s staff weren’t idiots. I’ve met them at FA United.) As for fighting such people, I don’t think you can. You’re just the latest in a long line of great artists who were targeted like this. It has made me enraged and sick every time. In the end, FA’s people need to be smart enough to understand and see this shit for what it is. People can’t be educated who don’t want to be educated. Before relying on Patreon as an archive, remember your own advice about Patreon’s bowing to China’s standards of acceptability. If you started such a Patreon, I would certainly join (though I might need to split my current pledge between that one and this), but you might want to also find another site to post things on. (I don’t know most of the options. SoFurry? InkBunny?)
