He *might* try to scrub his criminal record, but that's the sort of thing that can backfire quite easily, and he may not even care - more "street cred". Remember Jan has said her goal is "reduction of suffering", and people like Mr. Meg cause a great deal of suffering, often for no other purpose than "teh lulz".

"Meet weakness with strength" is good advice, but even better is "Let's you and him fight". Possibly with a side order of "oh look, all your secret bank accounts are now overdrawn. And look! The IRS are taking a close look too!"

In one anime there was a character who was so smart he hacked the Department of Education's servers to change his grades from "Genius" to "Barely Graduated" just so people would leave him alone in college.
