After Sailing with the Pirate King, I Returned to Konoha - 194

Chapter 194: The Shocked Obito and the Raikage Who Delivered Himself

Kamui.

This was the unique Mangekyo Sharingan technique Uchiha Obito mastered after his Sharingan evolved to the Mangekyo level. Its essence was transferring matter into an independent space—an overwhelmingly powerful space-time ninjutsu.

However, since one eye remained with his former friend Kakashi, Obito with only one Sharingan could only execute the defensively-oriented Kamui. He couldn't directly use his vision to launch long-range attacks. He had to close the distance before sending people into the Kamui dimension. The attack range wasn't large.

But regarding defensive capabilities, the Kamui that Obito could currently use was utterly broken. This technique allowed him to "hide" himself in another dimension. In others' eyes, he became a ghost—visible but intangible. No matter how powerful the enemy's attacks were, they couldn't threaten him, because he and his opponent weren't in the same space.

So although he was wary of Naruto Uzumaki's combat power, honestly, Obito was more concerned about implementing his plan than preserving his own life. At least, until today, Obito had always thought this way.

Watching Naruto's arm "pass through" his body, Obito was about to taunt his opponent when he suddenly sensed the "Kamui dimension" being affected by some force.

"How is this possible?"

Obito's body flickered like a faulty light bulb, rapidly shifting from intangibility to solidity. Remember, Naruto's arm was still inserted in his "body."

Obito hastily retreated backward but was still a step too slow. After his body became solid, a small portion still overlapped with Naruto's palm. In this situation, space would equally punish both parties.

"Ah!"

Obito felt that layer of flesh completely ground away by an irresistible external force, blood flowing uncontrollably downward. As for Naruto, several fingers were also devoured by space.

Yet despite such an injury, Naruto's expression showed no change. It wasn't simply enduring pain—more like he'd already lost many human emotions.

Fortunately, this degree of bodily damage didn't seem problematic for him. Senjutsu chakra and Zero-Tails chakra worked together. Soon, new flesh buds grew from the wound. Then brand new fingers regenerated at visible speed.

Within moments, Naruto's hand had completely recovered.

In contrast, Obito still clutched his bleeding wound, staring at him with shocked eyes. Was this even human anymore?!

Naruto thoughtfully clenched his palm. Just now, he seemed to have touched something.

"Space."

When devouring the King of Hell projection earlier, Naruto had briefly gained higher-level vision, able to see other subsidiary spaces above the ninja world. Though he couldn't see them now, he could still sense them vaguely.

"Is it you? The mastermind behind the Nine-Tails incident."

Perhaps due to his emotional loss, Naruto's expressionless delivery made this even more terrifying.

Currently, Obito had no thought of retorting. For so many years, he'd relied on Kamui's intangibility to act with impunity. No matter how dangerous the enemy, Obito had dared appear before them.

Until today, when someone could actually attack him through Kamui space—even if only briefly. This was enough to shatter his composure completely.

His carefully maintained aura of invincibility crumbled in an instant. Simply put, all his intimidation was gone.

After glaring at Naruto with that single eye, Obito didn't dare say another word. Clutching his wound, he retreated completely into the Kamui dimension and disappeared.

Naruto wanted to stop him but ultimately lacked the ability to fully manipulate space. His palm transformed into a blade. A slash cut through where Obito had stood, splitting the entire tower and all buildings behind it in half.

Zetsu, who'd been spectating, hadn't reacted when sunlight suddenly poured onto his head. Fortunately, half his body was hidden in the floor. The slash flew over his head without injuring him.

'How did it come to this?'

But there wasn't time to dwell on it. The next moment, those eyes symbolizing death looked over, focusing on Zetsu.

"He escaped so decisively. You—do you know where to find him?"

When saying the first half, Naruto was still ten meters away. In the blink of an eye, he'd already placed his hand on Zetsu's shoulder.

This was far more effective than any horror movie. That instinctive fear of being approached by a natural predator seized Black Zetsu completely.

'Run!'

His body rapidly sank into the floor. Unfortunately, this moment was enough for Naruto to act.

Several more blade flashes—Zetsu's limbs were severed. However, Black Zetsu's survival instincts were truly exceptional. He immediately abandoned the White Zetsu he'd parasitized, enduring the agony of being partially severed as he continued merging into the bricks.

His quarry slipped away.

Naruto should feel angry, annoyed, and regretful about this. But now, he felt nothing. Even killing "Uchiha Madara" seemed more like completing a task rather than revenge.

This was obviously abnormal.

At this time, Jiraiya and the others finally arrived. With them was Konan, who'd just been knocked away.

Seeing the tower's interior and the completely silent Nagato, Konan's face finally showed a painful expression. She ignored everyone around her, rushing straight to Nagato's side and tightly embracing his head as tears streamed down her face.

Sasuke and Karin wanted to stop her but were blocked by Jiraiya. Two of his three students from the Land of Rain had now died. To say he wasn't heartbroken would be a lie. But he said nothing, only gently shaking his head before looking at Naruto.

"Naruto, what happened here—"

Jiraiya also saw Nagato without his eyes. He feared Naruto had gouged out and absorbed the Rinnegan. Though if forced to choose between Nagato and Naruto, Jiraiya would side with Naruto every time. But that didn't mean he could accept such a brutal scene.

"That Uchiha Madara did it. He escaped."

Hearing this, Jiraiya sighed in relief before reacting with disbelief.

"He actually escaped from you?"

"That guy has a space-time ninjutsu. I can barely touch him."

Not impossible to hurt, just extremely difficult. Of course, if the opponent focused solely on escaping, Naruto had no way to stop him.

After saying this, Naruto expressionlessly walked up to the crying Konan and said, "You—do you know where to find him?"

The same tone, the same expression.

Konan didn't think anything was wrong, though. Ultimately, they were enemies. Such a tone was normal.

Thinking of how both Yahiko and Nagato's deaths had that so-called "Uchiha Madara" as the puppet master behind them, Konan's grief was quickly replaced by hatred.

"I don't know where he'll go, but I know he'll definitely go after the tailed beasts."

While other organization members had joined for various reasons, "Uchiha Madara's" purpose had always been vague. Thinking back, their initial decision to collect tailed beasts had also been influenced by this "Uchiha Madara."

After Yahiko's death, Nagato had originally only planned to use pain to threaten the great nations, forcing them to accept peace. It was "Uchiha Madara" who gradually linked this goal with collecting tailed beasts.

Now it seemed this person definitely had ulterior motives for collecting tailed beasts.

"Can you help me kill him? In exchange, you can take my life."

But Naruto only shook his head.

"Besides, your life is already mine to take, so it holds no value as leverage. Even if you don't tell me, I'll kill him anyway."

After saying this, Naruto ignored her and turned to look at Jiraiya.

"Jiraiya-sensei, she's your student. You decide how to handle her."

Hearing this, Jiraiya looked at Konan with complicated emotions but simply nodded.

"What about Uchiha Itachi? Where did he go?"

Sasuke had been waiting for ages and finally couldn't resist asking his question.

Konan looked up at him, seeing no reason to keep resisting, and answered directly, "They went to Mount Sumeru. The target is recruiting a ninja named Hiruko."

"Hiruko?"

Jiraiya knew this person. They'd even been friends once, but later this guy defected from Konoha and disappeared.

"Naruto—"

Sasuke turned to look at Naruto, his meaning clear.

"Fine, but we might need to wait a bit."

Naruto didn't think dealing with Uchiha Itachi would take much time. As he spoke, he walked toward the blasted opening.

"After I handle the enemy, we'll depart."

With that, Naruto leaped down.

'Another enemy!?'

Hearing this, everyone looked alarmed. They all peered down through the large hole.

Below stood a towering, muscular man with faint lightning crackling around him.

"Is this guy also an Akatsuki member?"

Karin looked at the man wearing only a loose jacket, somewhat puzzled. Akatsuki members were very recognizable. Even as a criminal organization, they wore uniforms.

Nearby, Jiraiya shook his head, answering her question.

"No, that's the Fourth Raikage of the Hidden Cloud Village, A."

"The Fourth Raikage!?"

Why would someone like him come here?

Below, Raikage A saw the familiar face landing before him and grinned.

"Finally caught you. You're quick on your feet, Naruto Uzumaki."

Lightning surged across his body. The Raikage instantly entered Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
