"a cat's a cat" . . . and all cats have the same basic instincts . . . and unlike their Jungle/Mountain/Savannah cousins, when faced with a larger , stronger, and clearly angrier opponent, "Fear and Flight" are first to take hold in most cases. Especially when their other senses are so messed up they can't see through the illusion.
