Nobody: Me: Start swearing angrily in Afrikaans when Teh responded excitedly when Oh-Aew said he liked Bas. Nobody: Me: Tears just started running freely when Oh-Aew stepped back into that ferry, as if it was freaking Elijah Canlas suddenly appearing on the screen in the background as Kokoy de Santos was turning around that corner while speaking to Pearl in Episode 13 of Gameboys 😭 What the hell is wrong with me! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This chapter speaks to the (often self-inflicted) complexity of liking/loving someone you convince yourself you can't be with. The closing scene on the boat hit so many chords that I didn't pick up on as much when I watched it independently. Teh's so "withheld" in understanding/conveying his love for Oh-Aew, where I think Oh-Aew has always loved him. It seems Oh-Aew's wounded response to Teh's cruelty in episode 1 makes more sense now. But he was able to reign in Teh's conflicted feelings and accept what could be offered in the moment. I hope they work out for each other. Also, if you didn't already know, Bilkin (Teh) was the person who sang the song played during the boat scene. 🤩
