As for the rest, I believe the "dark and gritty" superhero comic writers may have gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick: If I had super-powers, I'd be using them for laughs all the time. How is being able to fly under your own power (or that of a giant pet bug) not FUN?

It gets even better (worse?) when Icelad joins in for a duet... we don't even need another instrument, though I ALWAYS use a disposable mouthpiece for those "special" events. We even used that tactic once to overpower "The Nostril" in his own lair!

As for the "proper use" of extraordinary abilities, I believe there's two general categories: against equally extraordinary problems and for the utterly mundane and inconsequential. (In other words, don't become dependent on them.)
