The massive, beautiful foot hovers for a fraction of a second before descending upon the fleeing figure. The air fills with a grotesque series of cracks as the man’s ribs begin to shatter one by one under the immense pressure. The first crack reverberates like dry branches snapping in a quiet forest, escalating to a chorus of shattering bones as his body is forced to contort against the unyielding ground. A squelching, wet crunch follows as the internals give way, rupturing from the immense force and sending viscous fluids spattering out in thin streams around the edge of Kai’s heel. Blood seeped across the pavement, mingling with flecks of guts. A sickly, wet popping sound marks the bursting of organs, filling the air with a hollow, almost muffled thud as the man’s frame collapses fully under Kai’s merciless step. The remains are ground into the cracked concrete, mixing with the fine dust from the splintered asphalt. Small spatters of blood are forced outward. Nothing recognizable remains of the person, just an unremarkable stain among shattered ground and dust.
