The flood of souls from people slaughtered in World War Two was straining heaven's ability to process them. So St. Peter got practical, and recruited assistants from the ranks of arriving souls: Experts in the efficient herding of people. Yes, the Nazis.
So when Gunnar, the Last True Nazi, is finally slain, the lower bureaucracy of Heaven conspires to not only keep him out of Hell, but return him to Earth.
Problem is, this story is a relentless, deliberately offensive pisstake on fanatics of all stripes, political and religious. The Left will melt down because Nazis, and the Right will melt down because the Invisible Magician in the Sky is being mocked!
If one of those lefties is on the board of Patreon, I could find myself kicked off the platform, and that would hurt me pretty bad, financially. Yeah, I think I just talked myself out of drawing this twisted tale: Today's crippled sense of humor just doesn't allow it.
But hey, at least you got to see Donna Barr's drawing of Jesus learning public presentation skills at the feet of Adolf Hitler.

I *would* however, as I have done before, suggest that you dust off and post the one-page comic teasers that you drew up from Big Funnies #8 so long ago, and let the fans see if there's any that they'd prefer to see completed.

2019-08-28 16:19:49 +0000 UTCI would not recommend this one either. The fact it isn't furry and feels like a Donna Barr imitation is off-putting as well. However, I would take issue about humor today being "crippled;" standards of humour always change. For example, 55 years ago, comedian Lenny Bruce's insightful stand-up comedy was condemned in court as obscene while Warner Brothers' cartoons that would become the "Censored 11" with their blatant racist stereotypes was broadcast without a quarter of the criticism.
