Chapter 209: Training Arrangements for Each Disciple Before Departure

Time flew by quickly. In what felt like a blink, the Four Great Nations Joint Chunin Exams were about to begin.

Before leaving the village, Sawada conducted another assessment training for his disciples. The Academy would already be in session during the Chunin Exams period, so this was their last chance for intensive work.

On the training ground, his disciples stood before him after completing their evaluations. Each person's mental state was completely different, and Sawada felt genuinely accomplished watching them.

"Good work. Your assessment this time was excellent."

But he held up a hand before anyone could get too excited. "Don't you dare become arrogant, though. While you're improving, your companions around you are improving too."

Naruto and the others exchanged glances. That statement hit harder than they'd expected.

"Hinata, drink that potion, then practice the improved Gentle Fist mental technique with Neji," Sawada instructed.

"Yes, Sensei!" Without hesitation, Hinata opened the vial and drank it all.

Only then did Sawada turn to look at the envious Sasuke and Naruto. He smiled at their expressions.

"You two, continue with elemental training. However, I might sign summoning contracts with you when I return."

Naruto and Sasuke were stunned first. Then overjoyed.

That their teacher's summoned beast was Nyanko wasn't a secret anymore. Sawada had shown his Sage Mode to them, but aside from Naruto and Sasuke, whose chakra was relatively abundant, almost no one else could sign a contract with Nyanko.
