However, due to the nature of the content I will have to fight the YouTube bots on what words it deems unacceptable to his Fordship. This has been a problem as of late and will require many time-consuming re-edits and uploads, but it shall be worked out. In the meantime we are shooting a classic HITB for ONE movie. As Jay called it, the original Asylum film! Got two new videos dropping in the span of a week. Maybe three! I think we might finally complete the framing of our USS Defiant helm control panel. SO MUCH GOING ON it what has started out to be one of the worst years ever!

The whole set up of all the characters and their relationships and the quest for meaning in life and how all threads are tied together in the end when the machine merges with its creator. Or rather with one very horny representative of the creator species. I think that The Motion Picture intentionally alludes to 2001: A Space Odyssey, but its outlook on the future is positive. "The human adventure is just beginning." Star Trek: The Motion Picture starts with a black screen and music just like 2001. But while 2001's music expresses awe and terror, TMP's music expresses wonder and magic. Both movies carry the transhumanist belief that humanity's next step in evolution comes about through the merge of machine and human. Bowman merges with the monolith (and later also with HAL). Decker merges with Ilia/V'ger. And another Decker probably merges with Rachael. They're all more human than human. And Spock comes to terms with his human emotions. 2025 is off to a great start. Let the Wheels be turning!
