I don't know if it has been said, but the VHS's coming out of the ground was such a great practical effect. The fact that you guys even bothered with that detail is great. Additionally, glad to see I'm not the only one that goes to the graveyard at night to produce "mystic smoke".

Just watched this episode again, this time not tired. You outdid yourselves again. The Evil Dead camera movements, the amazing set, the lighting, you guys closer to the viewer in your medium shots to make it feel cozy, the subtle movement of the image from left to right and right to left in your wide shots, the seizure-like shaking of the end credits, and Jay, who did not see, but threw, and hit. Really great stuff, thank you!

The first time the skeleton hand appeared from the grave, it reminded me of the moment in The Empire Strikes Back, where the puppeteer of the cave monster pushed the puppet inadvertently against the crater rim, which made the whole set slightly shake. Eagle Eye Mike had discovered this, and spoke about it either on HitB or in one of the commentary tracks.
