This is true. The "Endless Trash" gif is splashed all over twitter. That thing can be applied to most anything.

Mike and Jay spoke briefly about the popularity of Dick the Birthday boy, but don't sell yourselves short. From "Fuck you, it's January", "It broke new ground!", etc... you guys are meme creation machines in your own right.

Zero mention of how much of the budget went to buying "Free Bird"?

If you were born in Australia in the 1960s/70s, you know all about the Banana Splits because it was shown on TV every school holidays

Equipment does not make quality. Sure it can help. Some of the best films were made on a shoestring budget. See Evil Dead as just one example, that was done for $350,000. With inflation that would be just over 900,000 in '21's dollars.

In the 2000s on boomerang as well, for some reason I would be up late and they'd play the Banana Splits at like 3 or 4 am. There is one major note from the series though. The live action series, Danger Island, was directed by Richard Donner.

The only reason I didn't turn this off after 10 minutes was Emily Tosta.
I haven't seen such a smoking hot latina since Flyin' Ryan.

It reminded me more of that one scene in Fire Walk With Me, where Donna asks Laura what movie she's going to watch, and Laura takes out a gun indicating her wish to not feel anything and to burst into fire, because the last one she watched was just too painful.

How long will it take until big or bigger studios have no money left to upgrade their equipment, and smaller studios get the chance to not only upgrade their equipment, but also use it to make quality content, content people actually like to see?

I thought I erased the Banana Splits from my memory. It aired on Cartoon Network in the early 90s (I was in elementary school, can't remember exactly when)

23:25 He IS an ex-soldier. They show his dogtags hanging from the rearview mirror in the beginning. GET IT TOGETHER YOU HACK FRAUDS! Seriously, though, this review is SOOO different from FoundFlix, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the dichotomy. As someone who is originally from the South (East Tennessee to be exact), I can confirm your suspicion that, yes, we did have ShowBiz Pizza here in the South. I'm not sure if they had them all over the South, but I can confirm they were at least here in this area. I feel like every kid, within a certain age range, has celebrated at least one birthday at a ShowBiz Pizza.

I hope the people who suggested, approved, and executed the shaky cam in those fight scenes stay up until 4am every night feeling horribly ashamed.
Just gonna suggest Vampire's Kiss again to anyone who wants a weird Nic Cage movie that's actually interesting in its weirdness.

Had a feeling The Banana Splits Movie would be on here, considering how desperate it was for a cash grab.

The short version, as far as I'm informed: he basically spent all his money on stuff like castles and dinosaur skulls (which is OK by me, by the way... I would be disappointed, if Nic Cage didn't spent his money on castles and dinosaur skulls) and got fucked over by his financial advisor, so he takes everything and accepts every script they offer him... and there are still gems among 'em ("Bad Lieutenant", "Drive Angry", "Joe", "Mandy", "The Color out of Space"), you just have to look for those...
It's also worth mentioning, that even in his terrible movies, Cage is still very much committed and you can at least expect him to either turn in a good performance or at least go so far over the top that it becomes entertaining... unlike Bruce Willis, who seems like he does not give a single shit about anything anymore and has nothing left but disdain for himself, the world and everyone around him... :/

Great episode! I am so glad you guys talked about the Rockafire Explosion documentary. I sent y'all a DVD a few years ago of it after seeing it and becoming obsessed with how bizarre it all was. I even tracked down Aaron Fechter and got a tour of his Orlando warehouse a few months after he almost blew the whole place up because of some experimental "fuel" he was working on (something he called Carbohydrillium - its worth noting he has no background in chemistry and/or fuel). This was like late 2013, early 2014. I feel an Ed Wood-like biopic on him could be interesting - lets just say he's remained colorful and controversial in that fandom.

The guy who owns the rights to the Rock A Fire Explosion -his name is Aaron Fechter-is still making robots and shows. He's out in Florida making videos all the time in the original Showbizz workshop. YT is "Therockafire" if anyone's interested.

What went sideways with Cage? One might not like all his movies, but there was a time were he was some kind of action star and now theres like a billion movies of wich most seem to be worth nothing. Is he in gambling debt or something?

You're right, when I saw the trailer for "Willy's Wonderland", I was sold on it immediately... 'cause it's basically "Five Nights at Freddy's" with Nicolas Cage beating up pizza parlor mascots. It instantly became my most anticipated movie of the year. And I don't expect it to be good at all... :D
