February Updates
Added 2020-02-08 16:47:49 +0000 UTCHey everyone. We just shot another Picard re:View with Mike and Rich, so that will be coming soon. We're also planning to get back into Half in the Bag soon with a sort-of catch up episode. Not a 20 movie episode or anything, just a couple of movies that we missed in theaters and felt like talking about now (including Parasite). We have no plans or interest in seeing Birds of Prey (and based on early box office, I guess nobody else does either). We're also planning a re:View with Jay and Josh of the underseen 1993 comedy Freaked, directed by Bill S. Preston Esq.
Comments
Just watched Freaked after seeing this--that was completely insane. Looking forward to seeing what Jay and Josh have to say about it.

2020-03-01 21:51:13 +0000 UTCBirds of prey absolutely slaps everyone, just putting that out there, its everything deadpool wishes it was

2020-02-17 12:04:17 +0000 UTCI really wanna hear Mike's thoughts on Parasite

2020-02-13 15:00:20 +0000 UTCIt was great, but not sure I got it.

2020-02-12 20:44:10 +0000 UTCParasite, meh.

2020-02-11 17:40:13 +0000 UTCThe reason I subscribe is for you guys' unique take on things. I really appreciate that you don't pander to the mainstream audiences. You're still a bunch of hacks though
Nick McGrath
2020-02-11 13:36:51 +0000 UTCFreaked is another movie where I thought I was the only person who knew it existed. To the point where I kind of thought I imagined it...
Connor Martin
2020-02-11 11:11:09 +0000 UTCI certainly wouldn't mind a biweekly Picard discussion. Would be a great way to stay up-to-date, now that I've dropped it.
Martin Tenfisch
2020-02-10 20:28:17 +0000 UTCI think Freaked might have one of the most funny trailers I've ever seen.

2020-02-10 09:24:12 +0000 UTCLove everything you do but where's the Cats content, huh? Where is it?
Joshua Marchant
2020-02-10 08:54:21 +0000 UTCTheir expressions perfectly mirror my crushing existential depression over everything Star Trek for years now. A shining fictional light of reflective, thoughtful hope on the human condition has been completely dismantled and destroyed.
Pink Apocalypse
2020-02-10 05:29:26 +0000 UTCI loved Freaked when I was a kid! Oh man, I haven't seen that movie in years.

2020-02-10 04:50:20 +0000 UTCMike and Rich`s Star Trek re:views are by far the most grounded and realistic commentary about these shows online. Keep them coming!

2020-02-09 14:08:58 +0000 UTCLooking forward to more talk about Picard. Rich is right, the Federation is corrupt AF.

2020-02-09 09:28:04 +0000 UTCReally? I've been seeing actually tons of positive reviews for Birds of Prey? That was early reviews though, maybe it's changed since then I don't know.

2020-02-09 08:28:41 +0000 UTCHow can you revisit somewhere you never leave?

2020-02-09 05:04:41 +0000 UTCI actually saw Birds of Prey and don't blame you for choosing not to review it. I can only speak for the small city in Korea where I chose to see it, but there was myself, 4-5 of the other native English teachers, and maybe 1 to 3 other Koreans. Maybe it's a side effect of the corona virus news that no one is wanting to go out, but I think if it was a Marvel movie the attendance would have been much higher. HQ is no Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel, I guess.

2020-02-09 02:59:15 +0000 UTCI could do without another Picard re:View, but other than that I'm looking forward to the other stuff. Although I'm already counting the days to the next BOTW episode. Those are just my favorites.

2020-02-09 00:22:54 +0000 UTCWhat’s Birds of Prey? Didn’t know you guys had to disclose that your not reviewing niche indie films.

2020-02-08 23:07:44 +0000 UTCBirds of Prey came out? That's news to me.

2020-02-08 21:40:42 +0000 UTCI was hoping to watch Birds of Prey _through_ your eyes. Now I'll never see it.

2020-02-08 20:29:26 +0000 UTCOh man, I went to a midnight screening of Freaked a few years back with Alex Winter and some of the cast there. The production sounded just insane, along with meetings with the film executives and the rollout. Seems like they wanted something closer to Bill & Ted and were just baffled by what this movie ended up being. Fun stuff.
Dan Port
2020-02-08 20:22:05 +0000 UTCBrought to you by the Everything Except Shoes Corporation.

2020-02-08 19:56:24 +0000 UTCAlso, I didn't see Birds of Prey doing as poorly as it did, and I also thought Jay would be semi-interested in it just because of the R-rating.
2020-02-08 19:51:25 +0000 UTCA new Half in the Bag (With Parasite! Finally!), a Freaked re:View and another Picard episode recap? Loaded couple weeks of RLM content coming up, I am pumped. I am glad you guys are doing more frequent reviews during this season of Picard compared to the last couple of seasons of Discovery, again, I find Picard way more watchable than Discovery and I'm sure you guys do as well.
2020-02-08 19:42:17 +0000 UTCWould love to see Mike and Rich do weekly recaps (re:Caps?) of Picard episodes. Sort of a counterpoint to the show's official recap show hosted by TV's Wil Wheaton. (On a side note, it's nice to see Wheaton back in the Star Trek fold after his long Berman banishment.)
Brian McKeon
2020-02-08 19:32:53 +0000 UTCFreaked is an underrated classic and I didn't know Keanu was in it for years!

2020-02-08 18:33:10 +0000 UTCYeah! Another Picard re:View. I hoped that you liked episodes 2 and 3 a bit more. I liked it. My expectations were low but it's better than I expected (good instead of just okay).
Vincent
2020-02-08 18:30:36 +0000 UTCParasite is my pick for best picture by a country mile, can't wait to see that episode.
Kane
2020-02-08 18:01:31 +0000 UTCHell yeah I watched Freaked for the first time early last year and loved it

2020-02-08 18:00:14 +0000 UTCParasite ❤️
Carl Emmoth
2020-02-08 17:54:03 +0000 UTCI'm really not sure why Mike and Rich aren't waiting for more of Picard to be out. Is there really enough content to make the reviews feel worthwhile? Didn't feel that way for this first review, if I'm being honest.
8thchild
2020-02-08 17:48:57 +0000 UTCThe biggest problem with Picard is that it's so bland. It is a generic sci fi show covered in Star Trek juice.
Rudy Casale
2020-02-08 17:43:09 +0000 UTCI’m probably going to stop watching Picard until the whole season is out (maybe if I binge watch the whole season it will feel like something actually happens). I’ll keep watching any re:Views you guys do though! They’re much more interesting than the actual show. Keep it up guys!

2020-02-08 17:27:13 +0000 UTCYou killed Kirk Douglas, you monsters!

2020-02-08 17:15:32 +0000 UTCI am a HUGE fan of Freaked. The Rastafar-eyes are just so fucking cute. How could you resist?

2020-02-08 17:06:08 +0000 UTCI can’t wait for the Half in the Bag episode on BRAHMS: THE BOY(ring) 2!!!

2020-02-08 17:05:36 +0000 UTCI keep hoping to see an update on when new merchandise is coming back to the site. :(

2020-02-08 17:04:42 +0000 UTCI bet they’ll be more upset if it wins 11 times at the Supermeat and Fish Awards

2020-02-08 17:03:12 +0000 UTCHey Jay have you changed your thoughts on Joker (Which you should) and if not, will you be upset if it wins all 11 Oscar nominations?
Michael Gussler
2020-02-08 16:59:00 +0000 UTCYep, that's what spurred the idea to do the re:View episode! --->jay

2020-02-08 16:53:42 +0000 UTCWe had gotten a gift card for AMC theaters and our first thought was "cool, but there's no good movies coming out for months!" Keep up the good work guys.

2020-02-08 16:51:55 +0000 UTCMike and Rich talking about Star Trek is a blessing for my soul, even if it's about a bad series. Thanks for putting up with it Jay!

2020-02-08 16:51:10 +0000 UTCOh yeah there is a new Picard episode. I completely forgot about that...
