The first one was just an ok movie anyway but this one is just so boring I was fighting sleep for a lot of the runtime. So repetitive and honestly played more like a comedy than a horror film. Most people in the theater seemed to be having a good time though so maybe I'm in the minority.

2019-09-07 16:24:14 +0000 UTCI enjoyed part 1 as well. It was broad, big studio jump scare material, but to be honest, the book isn't exactly subtle. It's one of my favorite books, but I thought the jump scare approach was totally valid. That said, the sequel was... not good.
