Maybe she’s still there, I got a thank you email from her a few years back when I donated before realizing I could become a patron. I agree that she was a fantastic member of the OG team, but strange as it may seem in our instasnaptoc times, some folks just don’t like being on camera. But having said that, some female energy might be a welcome future addition.

I have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with "Spookies", that movie and I, we go waaay back together, since I saw an add for it in a magazine in the early '90s... took me a couple of years to get hold of a copy (kids today don't know how it was in the pre internet days), but since then, oh boy... there's a lot of info on the net about the making (and especially the post production hackjob) of the movie. One bit of trivia you may find interessting: the fart noises were put in by the editor as a joke, just to get a laugh out of the directors, but one producer obviously found them to be hilarious and insisted they stay in the final version... ... ... also, "Spookies" > "Suspiria '18".

I will say one thing in defense of SPOOKIES: if you remember the old DIY magazine Cinemagic from way back when, they did a bunch of really nice tutorials around the effects that focused on basic cable controls and that shriveling head effect. It was this and DEADLY SPAWN that were the stars of the magazine for a while since contributors worked on both films.
