I'm sure Wiseau meant "I know the guy you're talking about", not meaning he knows Lucas personally, I imagine Lucas as a recluse playing with unsold little Anakin and Jar Jar toys, filming his playtime for his small personal films, I don't think he would be in the same room as Wiseau

I saw the movie yesterday and while I had nice moments (The Room related and also hilarity at hearing shitty dance songs from the nineties), all I kept thinking was that this movie was made too soon and lacked an artistic vision. I've seen The Room 2-3 times and did not read the book associated to it. I think that me being unawared of the content of the book made me enjoy the movie more.

I listened to the 10 hour audio book narrated by Greg Sestero, which is incredible! His Tommy impression is perfect! Your review was spot on. You put everything I felt watching the Disaster Artist into words.
