Naruto: The Teaching System - 206

Chapter 206: Basic Sealing Jutsu Learning

At Sawada's house.

After finishing his busy schedule and tidying up everything upon returning home, Sawada settled into his living room. He retrieved a scroll and a sealing jutsu book from his ninja tool pouch, both of which he had been studying intensively.

Sawada unrolled the scroll and began examining its contents carefully.

It was worth noting that although Minato had initially told Sawada to research independently, he had still thoughtfully arranged for the scroll to be brought to the sealed space so he could dictate while Sawada recorded the information.

Although Sawada had already absorbed this knowledge during their lessons, he still needed to develop a deeper understanding of the underlying principles.

He now needed to set aside the sealing jutsu knowledge points he'd received from system rewards and start over from the very beginning.

After all, proper systematic learning was far superior to randomly piecing together fragments.

Some of the sealing jutsu that Sawada currently used, while more powerful than standard versions, were like rootless duckweed floating on water. Without proper foundation, he could only forcibly rely on Yin-Yang chakra to enhance their effectiveness.

This wasn't the approach Sawada wanted to take long-term.

Moreover, according to Minato's explanations, the Uzumaki Clan's sealing jutsu focused primarily on suppressing chakra flow. This was precisely why the Uzumaki Clan could effectively suppress Tailed Beasts.

It wasn't simply a matter of relying on powerful life force, but rather their ability to use sealing jutsu in combination with their natural advantages to amplify the techniques' effectiveness.

After reading for a considerable time, Sawada finally set down the scroll, closed his eyes, and organized his thoughts systematically.

Then he opened his eyes, picked up the brush beside him, and began writing on the blank paper spread before him.

Sealing formulas were the most crucial step in sealing jutsu techniques. They could be viewed as the meridians of the human body, while the formulas themselves served as the method for energy guidance and control.

Sawada could write basic formulas thanks to system benefits, but now he wanted to understand the deeper principles.

"Finger Carving Seal."

Sawada contemplated the sealing jutsu mentioned in the foundational text. A quick, small, instantaneous seal used to train precise chakra control and the ability to form formulas instantly.

He would practice this technique first.

It had to be acknowledged that this basic book indeed solved Sawada's problem of insufficient theoretical foundation.

Thinking of this, Sawada raised his brush and placed it against the paper. As he moved the brush carefully, a crude but functional array of formulas gradually took shape.

Sawada set down his brush, raised both hands, and quickly formed the necessary hand seals.

"Seal!"

The formulas responded accordingly, but when the technique reached its final formation stage, it directly crumbled apart.

"Indeed, all tall buildings must start from level ground," Sawada couldn't help but sigh. This was the first time he hadn't been able to directly and effectively learn something through pure determination.

With other jutsu, even if he only had a rough understanding, he could figure out the details step by step. It had never been like this before.

"Let's continue," Sawada didn't dwell on the failure and resumed practicing.

The basic text stated that mastering the technique in one day marked someone as a sealing jutsu genius, followed by three days for above-average talent, with the baseline requirement being about one week.

As for exceeding this timeframe, the Uzumaki Clan leader had clearly written: "Save your energy and go learn ninjutsu or something else. People who can't learn it within a week simply aren't suited for sealing jutsu."

That particular line of text appeared to have been repeatedly scratched at by someone's fingernails, probably frustrated predecessors without natural talent who were unwilling to accept such harsh judgment.

Just like that, the lights in Sawada's house remained on deep into the pitch-black night.

A new week began, and Sawada arrived at school early. He now had his own private office and didn't need to share space with other teachers.

Passing by a colleague's office, Sawada paused curiously. Iruka arrived this early?

The door wasn't properly closed, so Sawada poked his head inside and saw Iruka already busy at his desk.

"Iruka, why are you here so early?" Sawada asked.

"Oh! Sawada, good morning." Hearing the familiar voice, Iruka looked up, and seeing his colleague, he greeted him warmly.

"Isn't the next semester approaching? I'm teaching a graduating class this year." Speaking of this responsibility, Iruka couldn't help but scratch his head somewhat awkwardly. "I was thinking of writing something based on my past graduation experiences, trying to make it understandable not only for my students but also convenient for students from other classes to find career paths suitable for themselves."

Sawada was impressed by this thoughtful approach. The idea had real merit for talent development.

"That's excellent, Iruka. Count me in," Sawada said immediately. This kind of initiative was definitely worthwhile for better talent discovery and guidance.

"However, the credit should be yours. I'll explain the situation to Hokage-sama later."

As for receiving recognition, Sawada genuinely wasn't interested. One word: unnecessary.

"No need! It's just an idea, and I haven't written it successfully yet. Besides, Sawada, you're much more capable than me," Iruka quickly waved his hands in refusal.

"Alright, stop being stubborn. I'm just doing my part to help. Let's leave it at that for now," Sawada waved dismissively, not allowing Iruka to continue refusing. He didn't lack this small amount of credit.

The previous night, he had studied intensively and actually become proficient with the Finger Seal technique. The results were quite satisfactory. He had mastered it in less than two hours.

This experience made Sawada realize for the first time that without the disciple teaching system, reaching his current level of strength definitely wouldn't have been so straightforward.

Moreover, the system wasn't omnipotent. The rewarded jutsu were designed specifically for him alone.

Next, Sawada needed to slowly familiarize himself with detailed analysis before he could effectively teach these techniques to Naruto and the others. Taijutsu and standard ninjutsu were manageable.

But sealing jutsu needed to be learned solidly and systematically from the most basic level, making it considerably more challenging.

When Sawada studied now, he needed to set aside the knowledge already in his mind and approach everything with a calm, beginner's mentality.

This was also why he would later need to independently develop combat methods that truly belonged to him.

Reward items could serve as useful tools but couldn't function as fundamental dependent skills.

Fortunately, he had ultimately succeeded, and the results were quite encouraging.

So Sawada had nearly forgotten about time while enthusiastically learning other basic sealing jutsu concepts.

Among these were the Evil Sealing Method and the Five Elements Seal.

The reason Uzumaki Ashina classified the Five Elements Seal as a basic sealing jutsu was because it only required understanding how to use five elemental properties to disrupt and seal chakra flow patterns.

Moreover, the Five Elements Seal served as the foundational version of the more complex Eight Trigrams Sealing Style.

This was also why, in the original timeline, Orochimaru could use it to disrupt Naruto's chakra and interfere with the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style.

As students gradually arrived at school, the originally quiet building became lively with youthful energy.

The crisp class bell rang, and Sawada left his office and walked toward the classroom.

In the classroom, students were chattering about various topics and weekend experiences.

When Sawada's figure appeared at the classroom doorway, the room immediately quieted down respectfully.

"Good morning, Sensei!" The students greeted Sawada in unison.

"Good morning, everyone. It looks like you all had pleasant weekends," Sawada said with a warm smile.

Upon hearing this, the students all laughed happily. For them, these two days of vacation represented the happiest time in their current lives.

They could play freely without academic restraints or pressure.
