Return of the Jedi Commentary Track

And here it is, our second October commentary track! Everyone's talking about those Star Wars right now, so we decided to revisit the black sheep of the original series, Return of the Jedi. We'll be posting an ad for this and the Nightmare on Elm Street commentary soon, but we're letting you guys know about it first. As always, send us a PM on here for a free download code. We'll do our best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Return of the Jedi Commentary Track

Comments

It seemed to me Vader let Luke etc. leave with the millennium falcon at the end of empire.

Anders

may the force be with you, always!

Adam Cleverley

Warwick Davis was only 11 when Return of the Jedi began filming.

Brian

Star Wars? Is that the sci fi film set in a spotlight factory with the pointy eared guy and the Russian with special needs?

Ian Marchant

Great commentary! BTW the stormtrooper with no helmet is from when the rebels first storm the bunker Han captures the remaining trooper and one of the rebel extras puts on the armor to pose as the trooper, but it all happens in the background

Matt P

Rich imitates Lucas' voice perfectly. Rich is so awesome.

David Anderson

Rich, Mike, and Jay sit down to watch Return of the Jedi! Yay! This is the last film (Chronologically) that takes place before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So much to discuss! This commentary is intended to be watched with the blu-ray version of the film. Start the commentary the second the SW logo appears on the screen prior to the title crawl

That burping frog, I would have sworn it was edited in later for the special edition of RotJ.

Marvin Falz

"I wish they hadn't of made the prequels" I'm fucking crying.

Joshua Moon

Here's my commentary on Jedi. It'll be quick. When Lucas thought it appropriate for various creatures to burp for comedic effect in a Star Wars movie, that was the beginning of the end for him.

Jeremy

Is it intentional? http://imgur.com/GzhEAG9

Máté Norbert

Guys did you see that Despecialized Edition?

Petr Hrubý

I think I have the bog standard dvd release, would that tie in with the commentary track ok?

Alastair Ward

135min Bluray version apparently.

Rob

What release of the movie are you commenting? I have no idea if I have the right version.

Yeeper

Controversial that this isn't a Plinkett commentary :O

Anders

Fucking Star Wars!!

Since you asked about what Lucas' original original ideas were for the series, pick up The Secret History of Star Wars. The guy does a ton of research, pieces it together, and cuts through the lies

CR

Happy Days!

Stella A

A couple of seconds in Mike says that they are watching the 135 minute Blu Ray release.

Stephen Sclafani

So, this afternoon I bought The Recovered. The moment I finished watching the movie and the Extras, this post came through. Are you guys trying to monopolize all my time?

Ken

What version of the film does this match with? Blu Ray release or theatrical?

Chris Kurtz
