OP10 Meta Snapshot – Shakeups, Surprises & Shanks on Top

The OP10 metagame isn’t just shifting—it’s evolving. Familiar leaders are flexing their staying power, new challengers are rising from the shadows, and some long-forgotten faces are knocking on the door of relevance once again.

From explosive aggro swings to methodical control grids, this week’s top decks showcase just how diverse and dynamic the format has become. Let’s break it down.

🥇 Shanks – King of the Hill (Again)

Shanks is back at the top, and it's not just nostalgia talking. Its ability to pivot between aggressive and control-focused builds gives pilots flexibility without sacrificing power. The “best” list may still be debated, but one thing’s clear: Shanks is the deck to beat right now.

🧠 Blackbeard (Teach) – Smart Control for Smart Players

Control lovers, rejoice—Teach is still cooking. With core engines like Kuzan and Liberation carrying the mid-to-late game, and stronger early-game tech finding its way into lists, Blackbeard remains a tactical powerhouse. Methodical players continue to extract huge value from it every round.

💥 Purple Luffy – Steady as Ever, Explosive When Needed

Luffy doesn’t need tricks. Its midgame power turns are as reliable as ever, and its tight, refined core list continues to win on execution. Small tech tweaks are smoothing out early turns, but at its core, Luffy’s still doing what it does best—winning clean.

🚀 G/P Lim – The Meteoric Rise Continues

After a flawless Regionals run, Lim solidifies its spot among the top contenders. Its broad matchup spread and evolving deck tech give it legs in almost any setting. If this trajectory holds, we could be looking at the format’s next long-term staple.

⚔️ Zoro – Always Fast, Always Dangerous

Zoro may no longer dominate headlines, but it never stopped being lethal. For aggro players, it’s still the gold standard—quick pressure, brutal swings, and the ability to punish any deck that stumbles. Don’t sleep on it.

🔮 Doflamingo – Lowkey Strong, Always Solid

Doffy continues to hover in that sweet spot between popular and underrated. Smart sequencing, synergy-driven plays, and a smooth control curve make it a favorite for players who like to outplay, not outmuscle. No frills—just solid wins.

📈 Yellow Kid – Finally Climbing the Ladder

After weeks of lingering just outside the spotlight, Yellow Kid is finally surging. Tighter builds and improved sequencing are unlocking this deck’s full potential. If the upward trend continues, it could soon rival the top control choices in the format.

🐾 Rob Lucci – Precision is Power

Lucci remains the quiet assassin of the meta. It doesn’t overwhelm—but it outplays. For pilots who thrive on high-skill lines, efficient trades, and well-timed swings, Lucci is quietly becoming a real threat. Mastery is key here.

🎯 U/B Usopp – Popular Pick with Untapped Potential

Usopp returns to the top 10 this week on the back of a high playrate and renewed interest in the archetype. The dual-color engine offers great control and card advantage, but his winrate still hovers below 50%. Is it growing pains—or untapped potential waiting to be unlocked? Either way, Usopp’s stock is rising.

🧪 B/P Reiju – Re-emerging with Tech-Driven Tricks

Reiju makes a comeback this week after bouncing around the lower tiers. As pilots revisit her toolbox and fine-tune tech, the deck is once again putting up solid results. Too early to say if it’s here for good—but the format might be soft enough for her to thrive right now.

Final Thoughts: A Format in Motion

The OP10 meta is wide open. Dominant decks like Shanks and Purple Luffy continue to deliver, but up-and-comers like Lim, Yellow Kid, and even Reiju are proving that smart adaptation can turn underdogs into serious threats.

We’re deep into the season, but innovation is still alive and well. Whether you're a control purist, an aggro enthusiast, or a rogue brewer—this meta has room for you to make your mark.

Until next week, keep piloting smart and teching smarter.

Here’s how we evaluated each leader:

Step 1: Game Percentage Ranking (Popularity)
Leaders are ranked based on their presence in the meta, measured by the number of games they’ve been played. The most-played leader scores a perfect 100%, while the least-played receives 0%. This step highlights which decks players are gravitating toward, even if they’re not necessarily dominating.

Step 2: Win Rate Ranking (Performance)
Next, we ranked leaders based on their win rates. The highest-performing leader scores 100%, with all other leaders scaled relative to this benchmark. This step focuses on raw efficiency and success, rewarding decks that consistently secure victories.

Step 3: Ideal Leader Comparison
This step imagines the “perfect” leader: one that combines the highest win rate with the most games played. Each leader is measured against this ideal, balancing performance with popularity. A deck that’s widely played but underperforms—or one that excels in a smaller sample size—falls short of the perfect leader.

Step 4: Score Calculation
Finally, we distill these comparisons into a simple, intuitive scoring system from 0 to 10. Leaders closer to the “100/100” ideal earn higher scores, giving a clearer picture of their overall strength in the current meta.

By leveraging this enhanced approach, we’ve painted a more nuanced picture of the OP09 metagame. As we move forward, these insights should provide valuable guidance for those still engaging with the meta. Let’s dive into this week’s rankings!
