Surprise... It's a new batch of characters for my intermittent-but-long-running Platformer Hero Series!
I wanted to particularly highlight some recent, truly excellent games this time... including a couple that kinda flew under the radar. So for this batch, we have a mix of four very new characters, as well as two extremely old ones:
-Kei from Berserk Boy, an excellent action platformer with awesome mobility powers
-Kai from Gravity Circuit, an absolutely fantastic game inspired by Mega Man
-Sargon from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, an awesome (and very hard!) Metroidvania take on PoP
-Dash from Monster Bash, a 1993 DOS game from the publisher of Commander Keen
-ZX8000 from Bzzzt, a great speedrun-focused microplatformer
-Cosmo from Cosmo's Adventure, a 1992 PC platformer from the designer of Duke Nukem
Berserk Boy, Gravity Circuit, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and Bzzzt are all just phenomenal games that I played last year. And with the exception of PoP, they are all indie games from very small teams. I was so impressed by all of them! And as for Dash and Cosmo... they were originally drawn as commissions last year, but I like having them here as reps for that era of PC platformers, which I am honestly not super familiar with.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this little batch of fanart/stealth game recommendations. I will be back soon with more goodies.
