I'm so happy you did the Battle of Hastings! William the Conqueror's ultimate coronation changed the English language forever because of the introduction of French into the parlance of the time. This battle is the start of the change from Old English (Beowulf) to Middle English (The Canterbury Tales). Thank you, guys!
