Pausing in January

It is with no small amount of deliberation that I'm announcing that I am going to pause Patreon in the month of January, set to return in Feb.
Key things to know:
- December's rewards will be delivered as per normal.
- Anyone who is currently a patron will not be charged on Jan 1st 2022.
- New patrons will be charged as per normal, with monthly billing to resume for all on 1st Feb 2022.
Given Patreon is now my full time income I didn't make this decision lightly, but have made it for two main reasons:
- A couple of recent events have shown me that I'm a bit more burnt out from 2021 than I realized. This year (more so than 2020) my family was affected by COVID, lockdowns and some other issues. While we're all fine, I feel it's important to have time to recalibrate to start the year well.
- Despite my efforts (and due to some scale creep) I'm not where I want to be with the next update of The PIll and wanted time when I'm not worried about delivering monthly rewards (which have also had scale creep) so I can really make good headways on it.
With luck this will give me a good place to deliver The PIll 0.4.8 in February as well as get working on the next ep of Cursed and all the other jam I plan to make in 2022.

I for myself feel that my inner balance is strongly disturbed, which is clearly to see when I react. Sometimes it could be rude, sometimes it could be exhausted. That is why I also took the coming days from Christmas until NewYear off. But I know that we are not alone. ;)

It is not easy to be an Artist, there are many stressing situations who can be real troublemakers. I know that to well. When then something happend, as in your family or by yourself it took far more then everyone can except. Covid is an pain in our ass, no matter where we live. We can be vaccinated, but everytime is there a slight chance to get infected. Alone in 2021 I have lost 3 close friends to covid, 5 older friends by cancer and only 1 died without any illnes. He went to bed and did not wake up and that with 48. But always remember: You are not alone. If another Artist can give a helping hand somehow, let me know.
