So William Goldman who wrote the book the film is based on also wrote the screenplay for the film. Chris Sarandon who played Humperdink you will know better as the voice of Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Count Rugen is played by Christopher Guest, who is married to Jamie Lee Curtis. Guest was the first customer in Little Shop of Horrors. Wallace Shawn you'll know as the voice of Rex in Toy Story, the Principal in A Goofy Movie, among other roles
