The Pill v0.4.8 Progress Update
Added 2021-11-05 10:04:17 +0000 UTCI am happy to announce that as of today I have finished all the animations for the next chapter of The Pill! My hope for next week is to get through all the various expressions so that I can start work on pulling it all together in Unity.
This one has suffered what I'll call 'ending creep' where I had originally intended to curl in a bunch of paths together to reach a single ending (to make the workload doable), but in writing it found those curve backs to be unsatisfactory and hit a bit of a writing block.
My only real solution was to make those arcs self-contained and create a new ending for them, which meant a better story but more work. As of writing now the Luca chapter has 16 endings, with this update adding 11 to the original 5.
Something else of minor note is that I've finally bit the bullet and got a Mac to compile the Mac versions, which will hopefully eliminate the issues people were having with them. If you're a patron who hasn't been able to get the Mac version running drop me a line.
