The Pill v0.4.7 Progress Update

The bad news first (skip to the dotted line if it's a tl;dr and you just want good news) - I had intended to use the whole Easter Long Weekend to really smash out this update and get it to a near-finished state. But because apparently I stabbed a gypsy in a past life or something there has been an issue at my "real" job that means I have to go to the office and lose half the long weekend (being about 16 hours of Pill work).
For a bit of context - when I'm not Patreoning I work in TV, and because of issues (of frankly, mismanagement), the show I am on is poised to not meet its broadcast date. If you've ever worked in or seen a documentary about TV you know that's about the single greatest cardinal sin that can be done and would mean the company loses the network's shows in the future.
I don't give a toss about the fate of the company, and it's not even my episode so I owe them nothing... but... I am both an idiot and someone who would feel guilty if they turned down a genuine plea for help. So I've been roped in to fix it.

Now for the good news! It comes in two stages:
1.) The shitshow that I am currently having to deal with is the final straw for me. Even though we haven't yet met the community goal, at the end of this show in June I am going Patreon full time. From that point expect much more frequent updates on The Pill and general content coming through.
2.) Despite it all, I'm still making progress and been able to get through all the latest chapter's animations!
Now all that is left is to write in the ending scenes and bug test. It's a big milestone I am still planning to release this month, but if my crap luck continues and it pushes out further I'll give the version to all Patrons subbed in April regardless of their status at the time of release. No reason for you to suffer for my misplaced compassion.

The idea of 'flow' really mesmerises me - in TV you very much dictate the experience and storytelling, but in a game, how do you direct it when you cannot control the user's innate sense of curiosity with progress and pacing? And how can you impart the greatest number of boobs per second for their enjoyment? These are the things that keep me up at night. I mean, that and my 2yo.

Making the move isn't something I'm taking lightly, in particular, the question of what to tell my extended family weighs heavily on me (any suggestions would be welcome!) but I do think it is the right time.

In my current gig I'm a video editor, working on the first season of a new renovation show. So I take 12 hours of footage and turn it into a half hour of television goodness!
