Here is a "tutorial" on how I go about drawing characters and at the same time convey personality and make the pose look interesting. In order to give life to your character, the character's mood and personality often needs to be portrayed through their body language. And because body language can cover so many different ways of standing, sitting, etc I can't show more than a selected few. Which is why this tutorial mostly focuses on letting you know what to be aware of when drawing someone! I recommend watching movies/series and read comic books and manga to learn your eyes how characters are portrayed and what emotions they give off. What makes a character look lazy? what makes a character look cool? what makes a character look embarrassed? All these things adds to the entire image and makes the overall picture look alot more "alive". I learned this without knowing when I was a fan of the archie comics of sonic the hedgehog and copied alot of the art in the book. Now I use alot of the reference I got from my time drawing sonic in my art of humans! Hopefully this will be of some help to you!
