first of all, thanks so much for joining! look at us, having a secret society and whatnot!
the first couple of posts will be different things, so that i can more or less gauge what you guys are into. so please don't hesitate to let me know if you like a particular post more than the other, or what you'd like to see more of!
this wip right there is a commission for ferowyn @ tumblr featuring their final fantasy character. it's going to be shaded with some nice warm fireplace lighting, and right now i'm in the process of blocking in the flat colours and choosing a nice cohesive palette. that can be difficult if you've got tons of details, but i think it's looking good so far and it's pretty clear that here reign the browns and blues!
for comparison, here's what the colours looked like initially. enjoy this hot boo boo mess of colours! (jk they're not that bad but i think the first picture looks less cluttered and is easier on the eyes)
i'll check in with you with that particulat piece once it's done, so that i can show you the difference between a finished piece and a finished piece - what i mean by that, is whenever i save the finished art there's still some tweaking i do, besides adding a signature, i.e. slapping a texture or two, and messing with colours.
will it be informative? god knows. but i hope a before-after comparison will be pretty to look at nonetheless!
