Happy New Year and update on things to come

So first off everyone Happy New Year.
Hopefully this year is much kinder than the past few.

Good news I have passed over Hornet to a friend to be rigged while I finish up her textures.

But to the main point, I've come to the realization I've been slacking on productivity.
I'm making it a goal to strive for making real progress on my to do list and pumping out models more frequently this year.

I've also been talking with friends who model and animate. To be frank I hate my job IRL
it takes alot out of me and is just a dead end unfulfilling job.

I am trying to think of ways that would lead to me possibly focusing more time on my models and using at a means of income.

I want to avoid paywalling my content tho, and would like to stick with the tip jar best model best I can. But I may try branching out to other sites such as gumroad where people can pay what they want.

I've taken under consideration that once I finish up this current batch of models I may look into taking commisons as well as providing some perks on here for you all.

Honestly these models often cost me money by time I pay for rigs and ports so I wonder how you all would feel about having early access to models behind patreon access etc.

Please let me know your thoughts and any suggestions on me moving forward. Maybe show a monetary goal that I could reach that would result in me quitting job and modeling full time.

Absolutely monitize doing what you love, if you can. The only thing I can add is that a SFW twitter/DA account to advertise work like buttshark in might help spread the word outside the ayy 3D community as well.

Solid tips, thank you fren

As for productivity, I don't know what your workflow is, but breaking model making into defined steps that you can put into a checklist may help you stay motivated. It makes the work seem smaller and less chaotic. This helps me a lot at my own job aswell.

A happy new year to you as well! I think the monetary goals is a good idea, you don't need to show them to us if you don't want to but it may give you a thing to look up to. A good tip though, is to never make them too large because then they can have the opposite effect. The commisions idea is great as well. You are a skilled modeller and your models look better than a lot of the models you would find on sites like SFMlab. You could put it in the headers of your social media that you are open for comissions, so it stays there after any initial post. If you do, don't forget to make a specification list for yourself and others on the complexity and type of models you are willing to make, so that you don't get people asking you to remake the deathstar 1:1 in SFM for $50. i am also completely fine with early access. Good luck to you :)
