I don’t always do a warm up, I notice the difference but sometimes just starting on a commission is more time efficient! It’s not that the result is going to be different, I just feel a little stiff starting the day. But sometimes I do random sketches like this or sketch commissions to warm up with.

Regardless of where you are in the drawing commission process, do you always warm up with sketches or do you also do color shading, etc?. Do you find that it takes more than one sketch to warm you up? If you do multiple warm-ups, how do you vary what you draw, if at all?
