Strongest In DxD - Chapter 85

With the death of Maou Lucifer, Ajuka would have been considered the interim leader of the Underworld, but even days after the incident no one had located Ajuka who seemed to have vanished completely from the face of the earth.

And the worst had been the Meeting of the three factions, which according to Serafall Leviathan was a trap and the Angels and Fallen Angels had joined together against the demons, and so all Three Factions were in a state of near war, what stopped it was a part of the demons who did not want war, but to resolve it in a peaceful way.

Unfortunately peace was not one of the options, as it was not in Ren Katsuo's plans.

The peace of the demons did not last long.

BOOOOOOMMMMMMM.

A huge explosion took all the demons' attention away from their normal life, huge flames hit the capital of the Underworld, Lilith, burning everything in sight.

Chaos spread as an amount of holy energy wiped out everything in front of them.

The huge, beautiful buildings of the Underworld capital no longer existed as they were all devoured by the white, sacred flames.

"What's happening here?" a voice caught everyone's attention.

When all the demons turned back to the source of the voice it was possible to see Serafall Leviathan and Falbium Asmodeus walking side by side.

Seeing the flames burning everything, Serafall waved his hand releasing an immense torrent of ice as he completely froze the flames that had arisen.

"Quick, rescue the wounded!" shouted Falbium as several accompanying demons quickly followed his orders.

"By Lucifer, what is happening here?" inquired Serafall without understanding.

A few moments ago she and Falbium were in a meeting with the elders to decide what to do and suddenly the Underworld was bombarded with such a maximal amount of holy energy that it startled the Maou and made them quickly mobilize.

"Something beyond your comprehension, inferior being"

A strong, firm voice came above all the demons, sending a chilling sensation up their spines on the instant. For a moment, all the demons in the area, including the Maous, felt their hearts stop beating, and before they could turn their heads up, something hit not far from their position.

It was clear. A pure pillar of light, Holy and even Divine. Descending from the sky as if heaven itself opened the gate so that the being could descend to the mortal plane. And yet, what makes it most beautiful is that pillar of light almost like a flowing water, smooth, soft, and without any flaw in it.

And from the pillar of sacred light, out comes an angel.

He was dressed in clothes that covered his appearance. Armor. Gauntlets. Helmet. Silver is their color, pure silver that shines even in the darkness itself. A golden halo hovered over his head, showing his nature as an angel. The very sacred light and divine energy radiated from his mere presence, space itself seemed to distort with his power.

But it was not this that surprised the Maous and the demons.

It was his wings, the ones behind him.

There were twelve of them. They sprouted from his back, spread out elegantly in a majestic manner like the Phoenix beating its mighty wings. Their color is orange with a mixture of white, as if the wings were made of the Divine and Sacred flame itself.

At that moment all the demons understood that it was in front of them.

'Seraphim'

That was what the demons thought the moment they saw him. No doubt this Angel in front of them was a Seraphim. And that was more than a reason to terrify even their souls.

Seraphim are considered the strongest of God's soldiers, the most powerful of heaven's children. They were creatures of power, capable of facing the Maou of the Underworld themselves.

And even from a distance, Serafall and Falbium knew that it would not be wrong to call this Seraphim God's Mightiest Warrior.

"God himself has decided to create a new world, be honored that you have the chance to witness this event with your own eyes" the Angel declared as he displayed all his glory before the demons.

The demons' eyes could only widen in shock at what they heard, naturally although shocked Serafall and Falbium would not show such shock, but the fact that they heard what the Angel said and knew of the death of god only shocked them even more.

Not only that but the power they felt radiating from the Angel was something that easily surpassed the power of Sirzechs and Ajuka at their peak.

The burning eyes of the Angel swept over all the demons who began to tremble at his power, none of whom could speak a word, nor show a calm face in his presence, for he radiated a holy power so great that it terrified them. The demons did not even dare to speak for fear that the Angel would burn them.

"Imperius, please lessen your power, you will kill them if you are not careful"

Another voice caught everyone's attention, but unlike Imperius' that was very serious and powerful, this one was feminine, soft, gentle and even melodic, like a lullaby that could soothe the heart of even the most raging of warriors.

Another pillar of sacred light descended from the sky, not far from Imperius, and out of it came another Angel.

If the first one was considered the strongest warrior, this one would be considered the most beautiful.

No, beautiful was a second-rate word to describe this Angel's heavenly appearance.

She was not dressed in armor like Imperius, instead she wore a sleeveless white dress that revealed some part of her ample bosom, a silky soft pink syal wrapped around her hands and hips. Her eyes are as bright blue as a gem, in fact it would not be an exaggeration if people called her a gem because she really looked like one. His long, straight, and somewhat untamed pale blond hair reached almost to his legs. Her ears were slightly pointed, almost elf-like, but did nothing more than increase her beauty even more. She also wears a pair of bracelets on her wrists, followed by some sort of crimson colored orb as a necklace, and like her fellow Angel, she possessed a golden halo above her head.

And she also has twelve wings, but unlike Imperius' which is igneous and glowing, hers are made of a sheen of pure gold, as if made of God's own sacred light.

"Ilia" said Imperius in his stoic voice.

"Ahh, it is very nice to be able to stretch like this" said Ilia as she flexed her arms, "Now Imperius, lower your energy. Remember what father said, the two Demon Kings must not be harmed"

"It's already pretty low Ilia, I barely produce my aura actually"

"I don't care, regardless of how low it is, father's order is absolute not to harm them. Will you go against his words?"

Imperius grimaced from beneath his mask. That was blasphemy! There is no way he can go against God's word! He lives to serve it! To strike down those who dare to harm him or disrespect him!

Wordlessly, Imperius lowered his aura allowing the lower demons around him to breathe again.
