Strongest in DxD - Chapter 33
Added 2021-10-05 14:52:02 +0000 UTCFor the other servants they had no belief in God it wasn't a problem, but Jalter even though she didn't have faith still had some belief and so it would be dangerous for her to look at the Holy Lance.
"So are you going to fight the two of us alone?" asked Arthur calmly.
Ren smiled slightly as the spear in her hand glowed slightly and when the glow disappeared it was revealed that beside Ren there was a clone of the same one wielding another [True Longinus].
As a subspecies Ren's [True Longinus] had several abilities that the original did not and one of them was [Cloning].
With this ability [True Longinus] can make multiple copies of itself along with Ren's own copy. Each copy is weaker than the original, both the clone and the cast.
The original [True Longinus] is indestructible, but the clone's can be destroyed, although it is extremely tough and can regenerate instantly.
The clone is also slightly weaker than the original, and the closer the clone is to the original the more powerful it is, at that distance Ren's clone possessed about ninety-five percent of the original's power.
The biggest difference was that the clone's spear could not perform Balance Breaker.
The servants looked at this in surprise.
"You have some interesting tricks, master," said Scathach as he swung his crimson spear and held it tight for battle.
Arturia also did the same drawing her sword, Excalibur Morgan.
The moment Arturia drew her sword a black mist began to appear on the ground, all the vegetation of the once beautiful plain began to rot and wear away, the trees withered and died, the grass withered along with the leaves and flowers.
It was as if death itself was passing through the battlefield.
Even the other servants looked minimally surprised at Arturia who was standing still seriously as she looked at Ren.
Her sword gleamed an ominous hue against her black armor.
Smiling at his servant, Ren's clone wielded his spear as he planted his feet on the ground generating cracks and fired at Saber Alter generating a shock wave.
Ren's clone stepped forward as he stepped through the black mist.
Any normal human should die or have their skin destroyed from touching such a corrosive mist, but the moment Ren touched the ground it was the other way around.
To Saber Alter's surprise the moment Ren's feet touched the ground the black mist in his path disappeared and the previously withered grass began to grow again.
All this due to the holy aura that covered Ren's body, the [True Longinus] was the holy spear that ended all evil and therefore would not allow such a thing to harm its wielder.
Even seeing his mist disappear Saber Alter smiled as he wielded his sword that glowed in black energy and swung it against Ren.
The strongest wielder of Longinus rushed forward and slammed his holy lance against Arturia's corrupted holy sword.
The impact between the two generated a shock wave that traveled across the entire battlefield as the sacred energy of [True Longinus] competed with the dark energy of Excalibur Morgan.
A smile crept across the faces of master and servants as they vied for territory as they crossed their weapons and their magical power was unleashed.
As the servant Saber and the clone wrestled with their crossed weapons, the original Ren rushed at the Immortal Witch who also advanced.
Both surged forward generating huge shock waves through which they passed, destroyed before colliding with their spears.
The holy power of the Spear of Fate collided with the demonic power of the Cursed Spear.
In one of the disputes, both were forced to retreat due to the power they exerted in the coups.
Both spearmen earned smiles on their faces as they lunged at each other and counterattacked every attack that came at them. Ren thrust forward with his spear, but his servant blocked the attack by swinging her spear at him and made him back up a little. He nodded and saw that Scathach was coming for him.
Scathach swung the spear at his master's legs, but he jumped and landed on top of the spear. She grunted and was locked, being wide open. Ren smiled and swayed down toward the Immortal Witch. Seeing the danger, the purple-haired woman dropped her spear to dodge the attack and swung her right leg towards her master's upper body, causing him to fly back away from her and place his spear in her hands again. .
Not letting his master have a break, Scathach crept toward the spearman and thrust his spear forward in red mana toward his target. Seeing the danger, Ren blocked with his own spear covered in powerful holy energy to match his opponent's and counterattacked by pushing forward to match the point attack. A loud clash between spears was heard throughout the forest and caused a red and white explosion of mana, causing energy to fly around them and continue to attack each other. More and more red and white bursts of mana fly around the spear bearers each time they attack each other, and they both haven't given up.
They both clashed with the tips of their spears vying for territory to defeat their enemy, the crimson spear bathed in strong red magical energy while the spear of fate was bathed in an intense holy light.
Anyone looking would see the huge smile on both their faces.
Ren's smile at finally finding an opponent who could rival his spear skills.
Even Scathach couldn't repress a smile seeing the ferocity in his master's gaze, that immense desire to win.
Even she was baffled to see Ren's skill with a spear, not even her favorite student, Cú Chulainn, had such an ability.
It was the instinct of a beast that seeks victory along with the calm and wisdom of a born warrior.
Her master really deserved to carry the spear that fells the Gods.
With that the Immortal Witch can only smile, when was the last time she felt so pressured in battle?
When was the last time she found a worthy opponent? That she could rival his spear skills?
She honestly didn't know, but she hoped this battle wouldn't end anytime soon.
Looking into her master's eyes she widened her own eyes.
His master's pale blue eyes had faded and taken on another shape, they were a crimson red along with three tomoes surrounding the stark black pupil.
It was as if those eyes knew her every movement and thought, as if he were looking into her soul.
Those eyes were Ren [Sharingan].
Ren knew that defeating Scathach wouldn't be so simple, the Immortal Witch had much more experience than him in combat, centuries, maybe millennia more, and she was an excellent spearman, Ren ventured that perhaps she was the best among Lancer servants in the spear handling.
