This was 100% my favourite movie when I was a kid. I always related to Madeline because I had to have major surgery at about the same age as her. I even said the line "I can do anything" over and over when I was in hospital.

And Iโm especially proud of the fact it got you to cry in the end! But yeah it started out as a rhyming picture book series (the opening narration is actually the first few lines from it) then a tv cartoon, then the movie (fun fact it took elements from four of the original books: Madeline (where she gets her appendix removed) Madelineโs Rescue (where Genevieve rescues her from the river Seine) Madeline and the Bad Hat (where she befriends the troublemaking Pepito) and Madeline and the Gypsies (where she and Pepito run away to join the circus))โฆand thereโs also a kids musical performed around Christmas based on the โMadelineโs Christmasโ story. If thereโs a local theater around your area you should see it! Itโs very cute.
