Something I want to get off my chest...
Added 2019-12-04 04:46:46 +0000 UTCWe all know there's a Metal Gear movie in development right now. The director has posted a photo of the script along with the original MSX Metal Gear on Twitter. This has me thinking they might be adapting the first game.
I'm wondering if there's any point of continuing the animation. Now I know those words are going to scare away pledges (to be honest, everytime I charge my patrons they run off, anyway) but I don't have any intention to stop, however there is this demoralized feeling in me. What's really the point in making a fan made cartoon short of an old game if an officially sanctioned live action feature will be released before this thing is finished.
Perhaps I'm placing too high a value on my work, that this is a self centered point of view. Ultimately, regardless of it being fan made, it is my own artistic expression, my own interpretation which cannot be replicated and that my reasons for doing it are of my own love and passion and that's really all that matters. Unfortunately this demoralized feeling which I really ought not to have persists.
Like I said, I won't stop. But I just felt like getting this off my chest.

You said it man, it's your own interpretation and your own style. It's not gonna be like the movie in any way and it'll probably be better than the movie.

2019-12-16 14:13:22 +0000 UTCMovies very rearely follow a single creative vision, they usually get created by a comittee which will try to change the original plot and make it appealing to a wider public. Chances are they will turn Grey Fox into a teenager with a non conventional gender and the Metal Gear into an AI smartwatch. I consider your work valuable because you have been faithful to the escence of the original game.
