She might not be a scholar, but that doesn't mean she can't have her own smart ways to approach things. Emotional intelligence is underrated and dismissed way too much!

She doesn't take things like familiars as just a fact of life because she's an outsider, so she questions the norms. It's so endearing that she wanted to learn and understand her familiar as an individual. Even if she has an airheaded approach to things, she's remarkably thoughtful. You really do an incredible job writing such a layered and lovable character. 💜
