There is no set reason why Crowley is crying, that's up to you! Maybe there isn't one and 6000 years of hiding and hurting and speaking in code just finally caught up to him and he wasn't fast enough to hide it from Aziraphale (which is a good thing, I think <3)
I have so many headcanons for how Crowley behaves when he has to cry. How he gets angry about crying in the first place and how he doesn't want to be witnessed when he does. I think he'd fight the tears until the very end but when the floodgates have finally opened up, there's no chance of going back. I could probably dedicate an entire multi page sketchbook spread to JUST Crowley crying lmao let me know if you'd like to see that ksdjksl
I'm having a bit of a tough time lately but that's just how life is sometimes. Nothing to worry about and nothing I can change. But it prompted me to have a go at some vent art again and this time around it did feel like it was actually helping! I have a hard time crying myself but drawing it feels very cathartic even if it's a tricky thing to draw. And drawing an Aziraphale hug felt SO comforting, I wish I could get it in real life 🥹

Their freedom from Heaven and Hell will look different for each of them, and how they react to it. I could see them each having a bit of a breakdown in the SD. Crowley knowing true freedom, free from fear and punishment and all the awful things he saw in Hell. The emotion of it all is going to hit him one day, overwhelm him, and Aziraphale will be there with quiet comfort, folding him in with arms and wings and holding him tight.
