ALL THE COLORS I USE! What to know when choosing Howl or Big Z

Not the most helpful post but might help someone! This post describes how to get my entire stock of fur if you wanna be a crazy person like me. It also will show my preferences for colors/textures. For example I choose Cocoa over Caramel and never choose howls grey. Please feel free to ask about colors I didnt include and why I didnt include them.  

I now avoid fursuit supplies because of their inconsistent stock and colors.

But here is how you get the whole dang rainbow. This should help you when ordering swatches.

First I have ALL of the Howl Fabrics Teddy line except Crimson Jewel, the bunnies, and Indigo. 

Additionally youll wanna grab the following from howl in Luxury Shag:
Bubblegum,Merlot, Royal Blue, Aruba, UV Green, Moss Green, and Stone

Colors I order from Big Z over Howl:
Big Z's fur is not as dense and nice as howls, but it is longer and fluffier! They also have some exclusive colors. 

- Platinum: I prefer Z's platinum over howls for projects that use blue grey or silver. For projects that use brown, Howls platinum is better!
- BubbleGum: Preferred for its length over howls since its not available in teddy
- Pink Lemonade: Big Z Exclusive
- Violet: Big Z Exclusive
- Dusty Rose: Big Z Exclusive
- Denim: Big Z Exclusive
- Navy: Preferred for its length over howls since its not available in teddy
-Latte ( I use it from here instead of howl due to the price and its availability in short shag)
-Seagreen: Big Z Exclusive
-Scarlet: Big Z Exclusive, skip the nonsense of all howls dark reds that go in and out of stock
-EggPlant: Big Z Exclusive - could be replaced with Howls Dark Purple
-Papaya: Big Z Exclusive
-Cocoa: Better than Caramel from Howl, matches more things

Major Differences Between Big Z and Howl's fur lines:

1. Big Z's Short Shag is not the same as Howls Teddy aside from: It is a little longer and it is not nearly as dense. This can be a good or bad thing depending on the application.

2. BigZ's Luxury (Ecoshag) Shag is longer than Howls. In my opinion, its more versatile, thicker, and longer. However you cant beat having a match to the teddy fur.  -I dont see any difference between

3. Big Z's Half Shag = Howl Fabrics Beaver. They appear to have no noticeable difference.

Things I do not Order from Big Z Fabric and order from Howl instead:
-I do not order white fox or monster from BZ unless you have to. They are notorious for switching it with ivory and hoping you wont notice.
-Additionally, their Medium Greys and charcoals seem to have issues every time I order.

Things I do not order from Howl Fabric, and order from BZ instead:

-Beaver/Seal fur that is available at Big Z should be bought there. Big Z's is cheaper and its essentially the same. Make sure to choose the knit backing when ordering from Z!

- Natural Black Teddy. I hate it. get it away from me. It shines reddish purple.
- Grey Luxury Shag. I hate the blend of the two greys into one color. Ugly.
