Tip: properly afixing magnets to hair pieces.

You must use neodymium magnets. They are strong be careful!

1. Sew the hair piece but leave a slit open to access the inside.

2. Glue the magnet onto the backing.

3. Cut a square of any random leftover fabric you have and sew that down to reinforce it.

This step shouldn't be skipped. Magnets love to come lose from glue and will break on your customers!

Oh yeah I bet it would work for this too! Haven't tried. But I prefer to stitch over gluing as I'm impatient haha

Oh I'm good for 3D prints! Always use CA glue for magnets with prints and it works like a charm. Feel free to DM me if you want about it. But yeah for fur, pockets is probably the best possible solution πŸ’•

Interesting. Must be some really strong magnets! I've been using contact cement for really strong fabric bonds in the past month or so and it's been super effective. I haven't used it with magnets yet tho

If you're wondering how you can affix them to 3d prints. Ill be experimenting with that soon. But with fur it's always best to sew in. Scratching the surface will work but there's too much room for error if you don't also sew it in.

That's entirely why the sewn pocket is necessary. No glue that I've tried will properly stick and stay stuck against the magnetic force.

What glue do you use to affix the magnets? I feel like hot glue won't work in this situation as the surface of the magnets are smooth (unless you sand them a little I guess.)
