I think guinea pigs and hamsters and gerbils are from desert-y places. Sandy places. There are Syrian hamsters. So I'm guessing there are some native to Syria? I mean, they take sand baths or "dust" baths. I can just picture a little pack of wild, sandy-colored gerbils scurrying under a rock for shade in the desert.. Idk. Cute.

She also has a bunch of cool videos on strange bodies of water in general haha.
